Code:StyxWoW.Overlay.Dispatcher.InvokeShutdown();
Hi, all,Can you please open the developer tools, go to the console tab and enter the following line in the console:
Then press the Run button.Code:StyxWoW.Overlay.Dispatcher.InvokeShutdown();
Does that make any noticeable differences after focusing WoW again?
Hi, Wired420,Bot (Singular) constantly casts Slice and Dice (To the point it doesn't cast other things it should be casting) while in Assassination spec on rogue. (Slice and Dice is passive in this spec, and can't be cast, and is always active).
Confirmed work-around for FPS issues
Hi, all,
This is the confirmed work-around for those having FPS issues. We've opened HB-1869 against the issue.

oh now i know why ....i enabled my aero again and its works as you said .ty that was the issue on user side >.<Just an update on the "FPS drop when using Overlays" issue...
It turns out the problem is actually an operating-system configuration problem. HB-1869 ("New "Overlay" feature appears to be causing FPS problems for some users") has been resolved for the next release with the following note:
"This FPS drop is caused by users disabling Desktop Composition, either via WoW.exe properties > Compatibility> Desktop Composition or in visual settings or using one of the classic themes
Turning off Composition is a bad thing to do, and increases contention for drawing content on the desktop. This results in the FPS drops observed. This is only a problem for Windows 7 and Vista (the feature was introduced in Vista)—which allow users to fiddle with this setting. Windows 8 and 10 do not allow users to configure the setting, so no problems should be observed running on the newer OS versions.
As a defensive measure, we have turned off the overlay capabilities when Desktop Composition is disabled."

Hi, Wired420,Incorrect. I'm on Windows 8 and I see a significant drop with HB running at to HB not running. HB @ stop I'm locked at the 30fps I set. HB @ Start condition, I'm running between 3 and 17fps. It also does it on a Windows 10 consumer preview laptop I have. Both devices are top end (i7 Gen 4 in Laptop, FX8130 AMD in Desktop, 16GB ram laptop, 24GB ram Desktop, 3GB nvidia m6xx series in laptop, 3GB R9 280x on desktop), and shouldn't be lagging.
Edit: I should also mention it still does it if I uncap my FPS. I'd be willing to bet there is too much stuff in a framelock in the overlay.

Hi, Wired420,
The overlay is still running when Honorbuddy is stopped.
Your observations verify your particular problem is not with the Overlay, but with a Botbase, Plugin, or Combat Routine you are running. If you need help isolating the problem, you should open a new thread in the Support forum with a log that demonstrates the issue.

chinajade
Hi again, Wired420, and thank you for the log.
Since you say the problem started with .764, this is again confirmation that the problem is not Overlay-related.
From examining the log, we believe your issue is one of the products being streamed from the Buddy Store. Even if the product is disabled on HBclient-side, a product can still do bad things that will impact your FPS. To see if this is in fact the case, please disable the streaming of ALL store products (except Kick's profile). This article describes how to accomplish the task:
If this solves your problem, it is now a case of isolating which products are offending, and notifying the corresponding authors. We would appreciate your letting us know which products are the culprit so we can analyze the issue and prevent such occurances in the future.
If you still have the problem please show us a fresh log with all streaming disabled.
cheers,
chinajade

I humbly request an update push to get Highmaul LFR in the list of things for us to do. Heroic scripts would be nice as well, but are understandably lower priority that bugs. The last HB push was a week and a half ago and while I understand that it is preferred to push once a majority of publicly listed bugs have been resolved, but I'm not sure how much longer I can go seeing that Highmaul has been scripted and not be able to use it. Much love from Texas!
