do these profiles ever get updated? just a question. I'm using Kick's profile for the Horde quests 5-12 Durotar quests.
I've used it in the past and experienced no problems at all. Now when i'm using it, it's stuck at Razor Hill saying Moving to Type : QuestPickUp. but he's standing beside the flightpath. Is it just me?

Yes, these profiles are updated every few hours. Here's the changelog:
The big time sink is getting toons back into areas with problems, so we can reproduce problems or rework changes Bliz has made. Sometimes, its not just the quest, but changes that have been made to Combat Routines, or quirks with particular classes (shape-shifting classes, or pet classes are always throwing some sort of wrenches). Sometimes its issues with too many players competing in a given area due to the new cross-realm zones.
So, its not just a simple matter of getting a toon into the testbed, but getting the problematical toon
type into the testbed, or with the particular conditions that cause the problem.
Kick has other responsibilities its not my place to discuss. My time is also split helping other profile writers (like
Botanist,
Cava,
TheBrodieMan, and others), and creating/updating/repairing quest behaviors. We are spread thin, but the profiles are updated regularly. Obviously, I also spend a
lot of time helping people in the forums, which takes time away from fixing things. Not complaining at all-it is what it is.
If you do an analysis on all the posts that come into
Kick's thread, you will see that a good 80% of them are user errors, or Honorbuddy installation issues. Examples include:
- Misconfigured mounting, mail recipients, food/water quantity issues
- Improperly installed plugins, combat routines, bots, and quest behaviors
- Users failing to install the updated quest behaviors provided by Kick
- Corrupted caches
- Navigational (or "stuck issues") issues
- Exceptions being thrown due OS/driver/DX issues
- Misunderstanding about how the profiles are designed, or are supposed to work
None of these things are problems with the profile. We're not claiming the profile pack to be "bug free" by any means. But, a large number of issues posted in this thread have absolutely nothing to do with the profile. Despite this, we help anyway when we can without needlessly shuffling people to the
Support forum. We send people to the Support forum only when it looks like the issue will require multiple post exchanges to resolve.
If you have problems with which you need assistance, you will need to attach your full log that captures the issue.
