HB ARCHIVES: Kick's Old Posts Thread--DO NOT DELETE!

Status
Not open for further replies.
My bot keeps training in zones where it is a couple of levels too high and against mobs/quests that is like 5-7 levels below it. I think its because I did Dungeonbuddy and then returned to questing. I think I remember something about changing something from true to false in the profile .xml file to stop it from using checkpoints or something? Can someone please tell me what to change in the profile? :)

Thoroughly read the first post in this thread ... ie: the 3rd line in big red letters

Im not using Mixed Mode. I just used Dungeon Buddy a bit earlier because i had some problems with the Quest Behaviors. I was using Mixed Mode earlier. Does that effect my current state after I stopped using it?

continue thoroughly reading the first 3 posts.

It states that checkpoints determine your zone.

If my Toons need to Repair in Kun-Lai Summit they always go to the place, where the Toon has to open the Door (by pressing on the Door). Is there no other place to Repair? Getting stuck a lot there because they cant open the Doors if its not a Quest related routine. The Quests at all working mostly perfect. Something my Toon hang a bit out infront of the Toon by killing the dudes who respawn all the time, but after some minutes they get faw away to go on with the quest. Its ok, but would be nice to ignore this mobs if not needed.
this should be fixed in the latest beta (maybe release)

Maybe I should post the question I came here to ask as well..

So, I've got two toons at roughly the same level now using kicks profiles, and here's the thing:

I've got a druid who is struggling massively with movement, or more specifically, flying. It acts as though flight form is ground flying while my other toon, a monk, has no problems whatsoever with flying. It looks like the druid is following ground waypoints or something like that, because the two characters behave very differently even though they are both using the same profile(s) from this pack. I'm currently at the 58-70 profile.
buy a regular non-druid bird mount and learn it, this should fix your issue

Warlock - Krasarang Wilds
Quest: In the House of the Red Crane - "Sha of Despair slain"

Possible to use this abilitie to move to the left or right every X Seconds. As Caster its nearly impossible to kill him, because Sha will always cast a Ground effect where the Toon gets hitted. So it would be nice to see something like move every X seconds in one direction and cast again or if this is a casted spell of sha and move to another direction.
My Paladin did it without Problems, so its not a Profile issue at all, more a fine tuning for other classes.
i'll bring it up with mastahg (who developed it) ... yes, i know this one is a pain - they both are. it was hard to find a safe spot in dynamic code (ie: in the code to let the bot figure it out instead of hard coding it like I suggested - and you just now)

Wrongly placed hotspots...

the quest in Kun LAi Summit "Call Out Their Leader"
It kills every mob around that leader walking on the road, but always keeps away from the leader, you need to put the hotspots on the road or more near the road.

I was watching the bot for 40 minutes as it walked arount the whole place almost in to the village and stayed away from the leader riding his yak up and down the road the whole time.
gief better hotspots :o

This might be a bug/ known issue but im submitting it anyway - just in case its unknown.

Questing was working fine up until this point ?

Location : Uldum - Lost city of the tol'vir

Might help **

"Bot Stopped! Reason: Could not create 'CurrentBehavior' in quest bot; an exception was thrown: Could not find file 'C:\Users\Laptop2mk\Desktop\Honorbuddy 2.5.6805.535\Quest Behaviors\SpecificQuests\27738-Uldum-ThePitOfScales.cs'."

WORKAROUND

Do the quest yourself and the issue seems to have gone :)

Hey i have a problem if I start you profile it dont Quest it only grind it say grinding form 58-60 and after this it say grinding 60-64 what can I do?

Code:
<TurnIn QuestName="Lifeblood of the Mosswalker Shrine" QuestId="12579" TurnInName="Moodle" TurnInId="28122" />

On line 9278 in [Fly][H - Quest] LK 68-80 [Kick].xml

If Moodle isn't there the toon won't use the ball to summon him so the bot gets hung up on Turning in Quest. Same for all of Moodles quests.

Lifeblood of the Mosswalker Shrine is that particular quest.

And Moodle's Stress Ball is the Item. ItemID = 38624

Maybe do a check for Moodle before trying to turn in quests to him and if he isn't there use the ball.

[Fly][H - Quest] 68-80 [Kick]($Rev: 2065 $)

I have SVN'd and have this problem still. When I go to start this profile on a fresh level 68 character in Orgrimmar, the bot compiles the quest and tries to pick up the Hellscream's Vigil quest. However, I'm in Orgrimmar and the bot cannot generate a path. Can anything be done to add a location check and potential movement to a zeppelin?

Works fine once you manually move to Warsong Hold.

Hi I just updated through SVN, and for some reason it deleted the alot of stuff from the Quest Behaviors folder, was that intentional?

Pretty sure most of the quest behaviors are now included in HB itself since the latest version which is prob the reason why they were removed.

I'm trying to do the tillers dailies, whys it giving me these messages???

[Profile Message]: Compiling Tiller Quests...
[LoadProfile-v241(info) @line 365]: Loading profile '[Rep] Tillers PreReqs [Brodie].xml'
Changing current profile to Tillers PreReqs r80
[Profile Message]: Compiling Tiller PreReq Quests...
Could not find quest giver NPC with ID 58721 in database.
Bot Stopped! Reason: Could not create current in quest bot!

Farmer Yoon is that ID and he's standing right in front of me! and I did the Pre-reqs just yesterday... hmm

So I am now also getting the bot wanting to do prereqs again as well, it's checking to see if 30257 is completed, which is learn and grow V. Not sure if that should be 'not' completed, but I just deleted the <If></If> for that check and it bypassed it. So that would be a fix for now anyone else getting this.

Edit: Also had to do this for Cloud Serpent FYI

[N - Quest] 89-90 Townlong Steppes [Kick]($Rev: 2149 $)

Currently using this profile in Townlong, just hit 89. My problem is that the bot keeps running me to Longying Outpost and sitting by the camp fire. The bot just says one time, Moving to Type: QuestPickUp, then it stealths and does nothing for the next hour. Any thoughts? Something I'm doing wrong?
