Having trouble with my mage

So I have started leveling a mage and for some reason when pulling mobs it's trying to do this in melee range... I dont know why it's doing this I havent messed with anything and it seems to only be with this toon.. It never did this before on my lock or hunter.. Can someone shed some light on this situation for me please i would appreciate it a ton

First thing I would check from your description is make certain the 'pull distance' is set correctly (40 for a mage).

Honorbuddy
-> Settings & Tools
-> adjust "Pull Distance" slider​

You should only make changes to the settings when Honorbuddy is not running.
