I have run exile buddy in the past but I figured I'd give it a shot again and have installed the pre-reqs .. When I load poe and exilebuddy, the bot program is completely empty under the dropdown boxes (where it normally says grind bot / exile or whatever) . Can anyone help me figure out why that's happening?

Just open exilebuddy and then wait for it to load up, then open PoE and walk around a bit. It should load PoE in exilebuddy and fix the problem.

Moved to support.

Make sure your PoE client is opened and not minimized. Please attach a full log if something isn't working right, and be really specific as to what you are changing or trying to do.

Other than that, the only time the bot should start up slow on our end, is if there is an auth server issues that results in the bot data being sent slowly.

All of my issues were fixed by putting PoE in windowed mode. Honestly I didn't see that as a requirement anywhere before setting it up.

The bot works in fullscreen, windowed, and windowed fullscreen.

However, if you use fullscreen, you constantly have to alt+tab back and forth quickly to do things in the bot, and with the game client so the bot can still run (since it requires the client to keep rendering, which doesn't happen when you alt+tab out of fullscreen). This is why you can't bot when the game is minimized either.

I'll add this info to our new guide for Beta, but generally when botting, or any type of multitasking when gaming, you want to use windowed fullscreen or windowed rather than fullscreen.
