Lol @ using "user" reviews though. People aren't reviewing the game subjectively. They are reviewing it as a one star because it's not the best thing ever.
I wanted to point out the large discrepancy between user and critic reviews.
I would say that both are completely subjective, as so called ``experts`` are not any more objective (view the movie F For Fake if you need a primer on the subject, or just want to watch something interesting). What I believe anyone can agree on, is that the average of critic reviews should not be more than double the score of user reviews (weighted average: 88% critic vs 40% user).
Keep in mind that this is an exclusively online game (focused on multiplayer) and also one of gamings most successful franchises (ratings should be a comparison to the previous titles). I mean, the majority of reviewers at GameSpot didn`t even reach Inferno, so what would they know anyways.
Perhaps such a large sample of user reviews yields a more accurate rating than the limited amount of critic reviews.
EDIT: It seems that many players simply aren`t afraid of getting banned, saying that the game isn`t that great, or they will just sell out soon enough. Either way, it seems that even in a community of hardcore Diablo gamers, who are willing to invest more into the game than the average player, probably feel the user ratings are more accurate than the critic ratings.
