I am running 3 bots with yar (24/7) on my notebook g74s (12 g rram intel i7 - 267qm 2.2z).But the Notebook is very hot on the coller area (behind the computer), is that normal, or do i have the risk of fry my computer?

77 celcius wtf gonna shut uf the computer for the night.Anybody have a suggestion to lower the temperature?

external fan is an option, not sure how much space inside for an internal, thats the problem with laptops. heat gets confined very easily

Invest into a metal (not plastic) laptop cooler, next bet is to underclock your GPU

Temperature issues are one of the top reasons why it is not a good idea to bot on a laptop.
I'm guessing you always see the people on this forum asking about what parts are good for their system.

I have my my CPU overclocked and it goes from a normal temp of around 30C to ~55-60C under my bot load.

So yes, dont damage your laptop, it will be much more expensive to repair.
Think about investing in a desktop with plenty of case air flow and maybe some aftermarket cpu coolers.

I botted a bit on my asus g74. I also checked the temps, they were really high compared to desktop ones (I used speedfan program). I did a small reseach and found out that higher temps for notes are ok, gpu and cpu have different architecture and throttling temp limit is much higher. IMO botting on note is ok, but only can be a temporl solution.

its bad idea to bot on a laptop long-term you know what i mean

ty very much for the replys. The problem is i cant buy a desktop right now, and even with the external fan the temperature is high. The normal temperature of the computer is 54 c (i just turn on after a night resting).
My other option is to buy a metal cooler with 3 fans, that will work ?

77 c is completly okay.
my is going up to 92.

how to check the temp? Sorry for my noob question but might as well ask :)

nah don't listed to the noobs . 70 is normal for a laptop . yours is maybe a bit over that
just get an external fan ( but don't get the cheap ones those are bad) with a fan you will drop to 50-60

Ya that kind of temperature is pretty normal at that load, if you feel you're laptop is getting hot then make sure that the air vents at the bottom have enough air.
I usually put a book under the back of my laptop so there is more room for air to enter.

Another thing you can look into is the cooling policy on your fan, as a default it will be set to Passive which means:

Passive cooling policy slows the processor before increasing fan speed.

Active cooling policy increases the fan speed before slowing the processor.

You can change the cooling policy by going to power options and then going into the advanced settings.
My laptop will often run at higher temperatures but please do use this info at your own risk.

Here's a link for steps on how to do it and some additional info: Adjusting your PC's cooling policy how to's

Hope that helps!

Try putting something under laptop so it doesnt contact desk.

For exaple 2 books, one on the left and second on the right side, or just one under the palmrest.

Mine acer aspire v3 has temperatures like cpu up to 95C, i think max is 105, hhd up to 40C, working 24/7 for more than 6 months. It throttles alot but still working. As far as i know throttling in laptops is well known problem. Probably if it wouldnt decrease processor speed, temperature could go up to 105

Running 6 bots in vmware on my alienware laptop. Temperatures above 70 degrees celsius are quite normal. Every now and then I would recommend repasting your thermal compound on cpu and gpu's (arctic silver 5 or so).

ty very much for the replys.update i clean up the computer now my avarege cp temperature is 80, is that dangerous >.< ?I checked online the max temp is 100, the note book is only hot behind (on the coolers, and is not that hot after the clean up, was a lot of dust there).
i have a cooler but i will invest on a real nice one too

gpu - 70 cel
hd - 45c
temp 1 - 80
core 0 - 80
core 1 - 80
core 2 - 80
core 3 - 80
Cpu usage- 35-50% but the computer get REAL slow when running the bots
Aand i put the diablo on the lowest config possible(following the guides that change the d3 config and all looks square), and sometimes having the message diablo is nothing respond on the relloger(i am most of the day afk), but diablo return.

computer aspects

g74s - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
12 giga ram

i would apreciat any tip of you notebook veterans =), thx again in advance
