completely restart your machine
then
wow needs to be running in 32bit mode.
to do this watch this video. it covers every possible way to get wow to start in 32 bit mode.

after wow is started in 32bit mode, get fully logged in and in game, then start honorbuddy by right clicking "honorbuddy.exe" and clicking "Run as Administrator"

Thanks! funny thing I found was I had a whole bunch of WoW executables in my World of Warcraft folder for some reason. I had an old 64 bit one that I had renamed along with several more in there that I just deleted. I am thinking that perhaps when I lauch wow from the battle net app it might be causing this?
