Guy bought alot of ghost iron bars - how do he use em?

Hello

I farmed alot of ghost iron ores lately, which I then smelted into bars.
I tried to find a private buyer, which wasn't that hard - but it struck me, what is the guy using all these ores for?

I didnt sell them to him for cheap, neither expensive, but I sold him ALOT, and he wanted to buy even more.

So now my question is, what is he using the bars for ? Since he bought such a big quantity, he must have some sort of steady income from them.
Im not here to steal anyones buisness, im simply being curious on how he is managing all these bars. :)
 
There are plenty of uses for Ghost Iron bars. He could be making the Golem Mount. He could be prospecting them for gems (which is what I do). It is possible he's saving up for something that will be released in the next Expansion.

Easiest way to know would be to ask him what he's using them for since anything here is just speculation. :cool:
 
I dont think he is prospecting them, since it is BARS im selling, not ores.. but yeah, could be golems :-/

trillium? that leaves him with living steel bars to sell or living steel belt buckles, but in order to manage all these bars, he would have to use spirits to make living steels, and the price that they go for on AH atm, would be 33g for every spirit =/ so i dont think thats what hes doing
 
I know that you can just make yer bot gather those spirits, but 1 spirit worth 33g just aint worth it, so i doubt that is his method
 
You can 1-600 Blacksmith with them. I did this once VERY Expensive

Same way as Blizzard changed it so people can level 1-600 with mining and herbing.
It's expensive but if old school way is too hard then its not bad.
 
He's definitely turning them into trillium. Do some math with me real quick (my realms AH/trade prices, yours may differ)

I can sell my Ore for 40g/stack

Even better profit, I can sell my Bars for 85g/stack


Now take 100 stacks of Bars, thats 8,500g if i sold.


Now if I sent them to my Transmutation Master, I can make 200 Trillium bars.

With Procs thats ~260 trillium bars.

38g per trillium bar * 260 bars = 9880 gold. Or, almost 1.5k more gold.


Take some of that trillium and spam a macro in trade, buying other Transmute alchys' Living Steel CD (Regular or Riddle).

I usually pay 75g per xmute they do, and 125g per proc they get.

Living Steels sell for 300g, so 38g (per trillium) * 6 bars + 75g= 303g

So even if they dont proc any for you (which is a 175g profit for each procced steel) youre still breaking even on your trillium to steel conversion, make a belt buckle, get 350, gg.

AH.....its soooooooooooooooooo hard
