tried this today. changed lvl to 99 and then loaded, my guy just stands there, honorbuddy says loading tiles...

Have you tried turning off all your addons? Not sure that will help, but its worth a try. Also may want to use a different cc.

There are TWO spots you need to change the level... at the top and under <Subprofile> there's another level thing. Just change them both to anything above 90 and you'll be golden.
