[Guide] Static Gen monk [Quin's build] GR60+

You guys may be a little bit too ambitious, you know? I'm farming lvl 60 GRs and I'm pretty happy with it. Haven't even bothered trying to go higher.

But yeah, from what I gather Forsik is using different settings from what is suggested in this guide.

I been trying to do a 60 on time 20 runs now I found out only 1 on time.
 
Well in the previous post you said you have completed one lvl 63 rift. That's considerably harder than lvl 60.

i did a 63 thats probably the post your thinking of and i just did it once and im happy with that i was just amazed that someone did a 65 thats crazy. I figure ill just farm 60-62 for now and fine toon it. Did the 63 with your settings from page 1 killing elites

1.7 mil dps
116 mil toughness
9 mil recovery
resist all about 1250 with phy 1500 atill collecting phy pieces
53% crit chance
600% crit damge
28% atk speed
900k life
20k armor
55k life per hit

also can anyone explain the enchantress over templar, does it have to do with the atk speed bonus

Hm, tell you what. If your fine-tuning manages to increase performance, would you mind posting here what was it that made it better (ie, what settings you changed and what you changed them to)? I'm think of updating the OP with some of Forsik's suggestions as well.

Also, if there's anything still bugging you, like bot getting stuck constantly or not attacking, feel free to say it here.
 
im doing a 62 right now with your new version and im way ahead using your exact settings running a enchantress with the above stats, so 62 seems real smooth. there is a pretty big jump from 62 to 63 i think

Btw enchantress would use the following.

Skills:

  • Level 15 Skill: Charm (Charms a enemy for 6 seconds)
  • Level 20 Skill: Missle Ward (6% Range Damage Reduction)
  • Level 25 Skill: Disorient (Disorients Enemies for 2 seconds)
  • Level 30 Skill: Mass Control, however if Focused Mind(3% Attack Speed) allows you to hit another APS Breakpoint go with APS.
Gear:

  • Enchantress Token: Smoking Thurible - Intellect, Critical Hit Damage
  • Weapon: Thunderfury - Intelligence, 10% Damage, 10% Cooldown Reduction & Socket
  • Ring 1: Oculus Ring - Intelligence, Double Attack Speed Roll(16%)
  • Ring 2: Unity - Intelligence, Attack Speed, Cooldown Reduction
  • Amulet: The Ess of Johan - Intelligence, Critical Hit Chance, Cooldown Reduction, Attack Speed & 80% Pull Chance

62 is going fairly well just watched the bot run a decent 62 GR and had 1 death and finished in 10 min with 1 conduit shrine, but bot was running good it backtracked for a few sec once but other then that running good

No problem man, I just took it from Datzmod which is pretty ideal because the enchantress can do the most CC as well as attack speed which will help far more than a templar especially pushing Grifts.

I just wish I could clear 60's on time atm but I atleast got to contribute while you help us out alot too =P
 
im gonna test some new settings in this weekend...need time to test..
sometimes in 65grift 2-deaths...sometimes 15-20 :cool:

I just spent everything to get rerolls of my rings and ammy on my enchantress since thats main concern and boy do I regret doing it but does it sooooo good atm my enchantress is my lord and savior atm just because I love watching the awesome CCing going on.

Just watched bot waste conduit as usual by killing things running all up to them till it hits a dead zone then trace back all way to where it started combat on non stop attacking. I cry everytime I see bot backtrack so hard like this.

im using templar :)more spirit = more dps

idk how that makes sense, its spirit regen and its very minimal compared to survivability and better stacking of mobs with enchantress.
While I know what you are getting at the spirit regen is seriously every so small because you should have max spirit any time you're fighting cause of flying dragon + breath of heaven.

Plus watching your enchantress go pewpewpewpew is quite enjoyable.

With single target Bot should use Fist of Thunder and uses WoThF, that makes a bot loosing a lot of dmg/ time . Any idea why WoThF is primary attack ??

it's been already changed with .59

as for which follower to use, I think the enchantress is better. top players are using her.
her attacks procs static charge and her attack speed is way higher than templar's (when properly geared). it largely compensates the bonus dps you get with his spirit regen.
geared mine with thunderfury, ess of johan amulet, oculus ring and of course unity ring, with on each attack speed and cooldown reduction when possible.
 
For some reason, even with the jubi's trinity, my monk keeps killing elites(even with more 15%hp[yellow ones])... :(

But, anyway... AWESOME job! :) Doing 60's with 5min+ :)
