Hey,

thanks for that nice idea.
But I still have an open question:
How can we use this to make our botting safe?

Should we change mac-address and HWID before starting another DB and D3 client?
I'm wondering if that would help because you don't know when blizz is doing the mac-adress and HWID check.

However, If i get banned i get banned.. RU keys are only 37$

so the hwid is the volume id? that's how they track you? by the Id of your hard drive?

also, Mac address wouldn't matter, if your are under a router, no matter how many Mac changes you do to your PC, they will still only see the Mac of your router only, that's how a router works, protects your internal Mac from showing.

is there any way to spoof mac / hardware id per diablo? excluding virtual machines, they degrade my performance drastically

Can I ask for anyone, running multiple bots per machine 24/7 and changing mac/volume id on system drive on daily basis if they have been already banned?

If Blizz is monitoring with scripts server-side, and recording the statistics via mac or volume id only, maybe we could postpone the flagging ...

@Forsaken65:
The mac address is the unique address on the interface, connecting your computer to the net - if you wanna change it, all of your applications will be affected, including one or more Diablo III games. That is the purpose of running VMs - they simulates separate computers, connecting via your machine, with their unique mac addresses and hardware IDs.

True

I read of forums here that probably blizz collects some info and there was a post when a guy used two pc's with bots, and bots on one pc were banned and on another one they was ok.

Anyway, when you login on another pc even with same ip you have to unlock your account so it is possible that Mac or HWID is collected.

Lets say it is an another safety measure in addition to the rest.

I actually change this once I collect all gold so its daily routine.

Just to point out changing your mac/HWID every day is going to toss up flags just as fast as 20 d3s on one PC.

Can you expand on this ? I wonder why this kind of thing would raise any flag.

Thanks by advance.

Well everytime its changed, especially HWID or IP (different ISP or Country) it asks you for S/Q or to unlock account at bnet site.
Who knows if is this somehow logged and evaluated for the amout of such changes.

Hum ok, I assumed the S/Q was only due to IP change. Even if this logged, this would make a case for the fact that you could argue post ban for a corruption of your session, might be arguable, who knows...!

You can only have one mac address per computer right, you cant have 2 per appliction?

If you cant there isnt much point to change your mac address if your running more then 2 bots on the same PC

You can have as many mac address's per computer as you have USB ports for wireless USB adapters or Network cards ill leave it to you on how to assign a certain network card to a certain program only.

I seriously doubt IP or Hardware ID mean shit. I was botting on 2 accounts on the same IP on the same PC as the ones that got banned on the same day they were banned and them 2 were not banned including my main who i did not bot on but transfered gold/items to 15m before the ban.

Changing your MAC/Hardware ID once every couple weeks and using seperate ones for each account is very viable. If there are banwaves going on, using a new one and a new *** connection in multiple times to have the account flagged as being "compromised". This will allow you to try and unban your account later on down the road, when they look at the most recent logs and see multiple MAC's/HardWare ID's and IP's connecting to the account. In your support tickets, include that you ran an anti-virus on your computer, found your e-mail had also been compromised etc etc.

Changing mac or th? volume id des note make client ask for security question

hey are you guys currently running mac? in this thread seems like it.. anyone care to share how they setup DB with any kind of virtual machines that works currently??

I'm currently running parallels .. but i can't seem to target diablo 3 from my mac

Just tried this

Thought it would be awesome

but what if I want to play my main on my main windows account at the same time I bot a couple of others?

I can change the IP and the client ID while playing my main legit account, but I noticed once I changed the MAC address of my network adaptor on my bot windows account, then switched back to my main windows account the MAC address remained the fake one

Is it possible to keep my MAC address the real one on my main windows account and change it on my Bot windows account at the same time?

Hope this makes sense

if its not possible Ill just use a wi-fi adaptor and use my bots on wifi

If I use wifi for the bots, is it possible to use only wifi for the 2nd windows user account

and use LAN for my main windows account? so they both have different MAC addreses that way

Because I dont want my main account connecting to d3 servers through my wifi if my bots are using that
