Hi i cant seem to get past GR68's i literally stole all your settings gear. char's are 50% ancient geared and they are able to kill but just time gets away as if they arent pulling fast enough.

Any tips in this instance?

I know we are still testing and trying to see what is going to work best overall... but this has to be one of the most difficult threads to follow! There is no definitive way to go.

  • The group composition changes wildly from page to page.
  • There is variation in builds covering 6 different classes.
  • Some skills don't work very efficiently in DB.

Could we get some D3 planners up on the original post? They are so easy to make if you have the gamertag of a current player. Maybe some DPS, Globe and support builds for each class so people have some standard of what to use for testing.

Here is an example containing the builds of the top 9 wizards on the leaderboards, in order:

What I have gathered from these Wizard Builds:
  • All use the 6 piece Delsere set (no RRoG)
  • All use the 2 piece Endless Walk set
  • All are wearing the Convention of Elements or have it in the cube.
  • All but one of them are wearing the Orb of Infinite Depth (That one wears the Etched Sigil)

This research was done due to the statement to use current leaderboard builds. But we already know that the bot doesn't deal with Ice Armor well, which also takes Halo of Arlyse off the builds.

Based on this, would this work best for botting on an Energy Twister build?

What should we put in the personal choice slots based on your experience using this in a group?
  • Stone of Jordan will give more Arcane damage and damage vs. elites.
  • Oculus Ring for more DPS
  • Overwhelming Desire for more DPS and damage reduction for group (charm)
  • Obsidian Ring (cooldown reduction on twister hit)
  • Any of the damage reduction amulets

Thanks for the write up TwoCigars, I am sure it's worth trying out. I do think Stone of Jordan would fit extremely well in speed runs. In my personal opinion, I sorta like Halo of Arlyse, Ancient Parthen Defender along with Ice Armors. I find myself surviving very well in GR85+, with about 2-4 deaths per hour when my wiz is stuck at doorways, and not casting teleport. But that's kinda rare cause most of the cases, the wiz seems to cast teleport as intended.

As far as the rest of the compostions, I am seeing very good results with ET/monk/barb/WD and ET/monk/barb/LONSader. I am sure the ET, monk and barb are mandatory while the last support toon is optional. In a perfect world, the WD is diffenately the best choice on the leaderboard, but I opt for Sader since Twisters do miss a lot. Sader is there just to make up the lost damage. I do encourage everyone to try out the 4th character and find the best result so we can work on that composition as far as spells mechanics go.

Regardless, I am quite happy with where we are since the current leaderboard meta DPS is only achieved by properly positioning Twisters, of which our bots cannot possibly do at the current time.

I am also going to take my effort to get something up on the front page with D3 Planners asap.

aquilla curiass is worthless in twister build, as you are constantly spamming twisters and are only at 90%+ for a short time. orb dmo uses it b/c you are at full ap nearly the whole time. for botting i'd say cube illusory boots or apd/reapers wraps and wear the other for the armor slot. ideally id go with apd/reapers and halo however i'm currently running illusory as the bot has too many issues without them. halo is nice as long as your wiz doesnt die and run into the issue of not recasting ice armor =/

Note that you'll want to run lower GRs if you are upgrading gems. My stricken/trapped are at 95 so I don't care much. The best run so far, the clear time was 15:54 so there's still room for improvement.

Note that you'll want to run lower GRs if you are upgrading gems. My stricken/trapped are at 95 so I don't care much. The best run so far, the clear time was 15:54 so there's still room for improvement.

Any chance there is a way to force the leader to wait until all of the followers have completed their gambling and salvaging?

About every 5 GRifts or so 2 or 3 of the followers will leave massive amounts of loot including set items because their backpack is still too full from the last run.

...And once the leader goes to town he hits up Orek ASAP, closing the rift and losing the gear.
 
Any additional code we could add into the Wizard's combat routine, where it teles the wiz when they get stuck, or something of the sort? Due to running ET specs, there are times I notice where the wizard gets trapped, and could easily be fixed with a teleport past/through the mobs to get to the monk.

Try this and see if it works out better. Edit RiftCoroutine.cs on line 62 located in Leader DB/Plugins/Adventurer/Coroutines/RiftCoroutines

from:

Itsmebentang, i use ISBoxer... only need 1 diablo install... Great little tool.

create a shortcut to the diablo3 exe add -launch to the target field. so go to properties for the shortcut and the target field should be something like:
"C:\Games\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch
obviously with your directory path in there, that will allow you to launch multiple d3 copies

Wizard is cookie cutter, barb and monk can be tweaked slightly per your preferences. I have ran up to GR88s with this.

Wizard
Gear Rolls: Attack Speed on your weapon is necessary. Crit Chance/Crit Damage on all, and you want Area Damage on shoulders, source, and rings if possible. Arcane % on Amulet and bracers.

I am seeing some abnormality on the wiz regarding teleports with the current DB. I am looking into it, thanks.

Meanwhile, use this View attachment 198494 and place it into Wizard DB/Trinity/Plugins/Combat/Abilities folder. It should solve most of your problems.

I've farmed 100,000 of each mat and 50k death breath on my crusaders so far. Just waiting for our "optimal" comp to be found so i can go on a spending spree xD

I am also seeing that if Urshi, the gem upgrade npc, spawns away from loot that dropping from the GR Guardian then some of the followers will ignore picking up legendaries and just leave them there, talk to Urshi and port to town without picking them up.
