Hello guys

I just bought my secound account and didnt find any really easy way how to start up multiple instances of d3 and made ALOT of googeling to find something without a use of a 3rd party program to make it work, i stumbled on this video and it shows the most easy way on how to do it.

How to Dual Box In Diablo 3 - YouTube

I do not own the rights to the video, just thought it would be nice to share it with you guys having trouble starting more d3 copies then just one :)

if this is a very common method that everyone knows about feel free to delete this thread :)

Best Regards

cool, thanks. I dont get it why blizzard got this option in their files? Like "MULTIBOXING"? :)

yeah it is a kind of funny file to have and in the file put MULTIBOXING = FALSE and then we just change it to TRUE and it is working ^^

thought it was time to give back something to the comunity after having so much usage of this software and forums :)

Works great and rly simple.

I lag too much with 2x bots though, but it's nice for wps, ah etc.

Gj.

Im a noob to the whole multi bot thing... So my question is do you have to have a seperate copy of db for each diablo instance? Thanks in advanced!

No, just open 2x DB within your DB-folder. Then you can select which acc u wanna use.

Not to nitpick here, but... author of the video states clearly that in order to run multibox D3 clients you need dedicated multiboxing software, even gives an example of it.
This is the 3rd party software, sort of, is it not?

Well, just tried to launch this thing myself, it seems there is no need of this multiboxing software (SOLID ICE), i wonder why the the author of YT video even mentioned it then?
If runs just fine without it... for the moment at least.

You dont need to have any software to open 2 clients using this guide, what the author of the video says is that if you wanna multibox, ( I E play 2 accs by hand at the same time) you need a multiboxing software, but i asume that people on this forum is more intressted in open 2 clients to bot on, not multibox :)

The most he has seen is 3, and the max is 4 coz that all you can be in a party.. Some here run 10-20 on one PC :D He should shee that ;)

Hi guys!
I've heard of ban cause of multiboxing using the same client ID. Will we have the same kind of trouble using this method?

is there a pro and con to make separate d3 folders instead of just running everything from one folder?

hmm doesn't seem to work right here :/ don't know why.
2nd instance never finishes loading...

Is changing the multiboxing parameter in diablo file necessary? Because before I saw this thread I just copied D3 folder to 3 different folders and running them seperately. They seem to be working fine. Do I still need to change the d3 file? Does it make my life any easier?
