The authenticator still works, but the VOIP method no longer does. I'm assuming they patched it a while back. When they first released RMAH, I was able to associate my VOIP numbers to my accounts.

Hmmmm really? Every time i tried to attach the authenticator i got an "invalid serial number" error on the Bnet site. Any thoughts?

There are Ipods that you can use the blizzard authenticator on.

Did you know that... if you use www.google.com
you can look up an ipod Emulator, and can totally use the Blizzard authenticator app? ;D
