Great Excuse for an Unban?

Hello Buddyforum,

I've been thinking about it lately and... correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't saying you got a "fake" email from "Blizzard" be a great way to get a banned account unbanned... I mean, you could say, "Yes... I received an email from [email protected] (<---- insert ridiculous fake email there) asking to download a WoW file that had me enter in my account email and password, as it was regarding ensuring I am the rightful owner of the account and to avoid being banned. So I downloaded the file and did so... What happened???"

Let me know what you guys think, but I think by acting this stupid Blizzard will have no choice but to get you your account back... I just received two bans on my accounts tonight and am possibly going to try this method out.

I don't think people that stupid are using words like regarding and ensuring. I dno. Were they SoR accounts? Was what the reason for the ban and were the accounts linked together in any way? I would definitly go for it, acting stupid might be the way to go. The nice guy routine fails every time, for me atleast.

Pretending to be hacked is a good way to get unbanned / avoid getting banned. Just make sure you have the proof to backup your story ( in this case, having logs from different IP's is a good proof. )

I pretended like I had been hacked, however I was botting in schoolcomputer while having class and I'm using some sort of ***** there so it looks like I'm in Amsterdam when I'm actually is in Sweden.

Sometimes it's nice to be on a very slacky computer-school. XD
However, my teacher in webb-applications who also play WoW did call me "evil" because I was destroying the game.

EDIT: Yes, I got it back. I also told them that I had been getting "suspicious activity"-mails and that I had a virus on my computer a few weeks back.

Some people think they are smart by using ***s to sell gold etc but it's the ***s that gets you banned, just ask the people who buy gold.

I had 2 fresh accounts banned from the start (lvl 1), prolly because I used a payed UK V P N. Safe to say, I won't be using that V P N again.
