Got banned in LFR tonight - UPDATE reduced to 72 hour suspension and final warning

2)If so, when was the last time?: 10 minutes ago

3)What profile were you using?: np profile just lazyraiding

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Demonic warlock cc

5)What plugins are you using?: none

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: I only botted for the rotation in LFR

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 100%

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: This was the first day I put on more than 5 auctions maybe 20 max throughout a few toons from HAND farming not botting

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? no

10)EU or US realm? US

11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? long time paid account (didn't have another one)


I truly didn't think they noticed lazyraiding style botting much ... and I appealed cause I hadn't even gotten the email of my being banned for a while. I had hand farmed some embersilk in Deepholm with a treasure potion the past two days and I did some enchanting and tailoring and stuff just trying to make some gold so thats what I said in the ticket (before I got the ban email I just saw the ban on the log in thing). Do ya'll have any ideas on what I could say to appeal this and actually get it unbanned? If I can't I guess my WoW days are over cause I seriously doubt I'll be able to make myself a new account. Just wondering ... thanks for any advice.

*edit* got a ticket response this morning and said they reviewed the action and I WAS using 3rd party program. So I'm assuming that someone reported me when I wasn't using the bot for farming cause they were pissed I was in their area, and got to looking later and they saw HB running while I was in LFR. OR I was too good in LFR I dunno. I want to prove I wasn't farming with HB ya know? ButI won't dare open another ticket when they've already said its reduced. I guess I shouldn't bot again on this account or wait a LONG time to ever use the tyreal+cc in instances and whatnot right? Argh I wish they'd say "we saw you using a bot in this area or doing this" but then it would be too easy eh?

I just remembered, a few months ago my hubby and I got a 24 hour suspension for something we didn't do. I wonder if my account had a red flag on it. I couldn't convince them we didn't do anything, but they accused us of gold selling or something to that effect. When we just were moving stuff between our own toons and all that ... had nothing to do with anything outside just us. Nothing I can do about that now, but I wanted to bring that up to them that they are banning me and yet they falsely accused me of something in the past. I dunno just a thought. Anyway thank you for the replies to the thread I appreciate it.

Just to make sure ... this is what the email said after my appeal: The account has received a ban to a 72 hour suspension and final warning, any further incidents like this will result in permanent account closure.
Is that just bad grammar on their end?

since you have no evidence of botting especially in the logs, they'd remove the ban unless you're lying.

the only evidence they would have would be the Lua commands.

You mean botting with the farming part? Cause yeah I definitely wasn't botting then ... only tonight in LFR (which I do pretty much every night either that or heroics since I hardly remember how to play by hand). Just have to wait til they respond to my first appeal

I hate to say it but I use lfr every week on multiple toons and nerver had a issues but it is easy to tell if there are bots or not like people will wisper you and if you don't respond then they report or another big thing is that there are asshole other botters out there that will report you for botting I have no idea why it just happenes. ive seen it a lot with famring so I hope you get it back and try to be carful.

Oh I always respond ... when I bot I'm at my comp at all times. We'll see what happens ... I have a sinking feeling they won't change the ban, but I can hope. CAuse I certainly wasn't doing anything crazy ... I'm just wondering why I'd get a ban from LFR ya know? I honestly haven't heard of anyone getting the boot from just rotation stuff. Is there anything I could/should say other than I absolutely am flabbergasted that they are accusing me? :-\ Never had to appeal before so I'm just lost

if you're telling the truth and have never used gb2, questing etc etc save for Lazyraider/Tyreal, they shouldnt ban you.

just because you're using spells spot-on, doesnt mean you're a bot. (unless you've got some unnecessary, pretty obvious settings. (like, have soulwell summoned every time, go X distance before doing Y , etc)

I re-read the email of the answer to my appeal, and even though they reduced my perma to a 72hour (and been playing manually since I got back on which suuuucks lol), they said after a review that they "confirmed that the account has been using third party software to bot". Now dont get me wrong I know its said that HB is undetectable and I am not arguing that point ... now seeing as I was NOT botting when I was most likely reported, are they just using scare tactics to try to say they know I used it? Or possible they looked further into my processes, even though they aren't supposed to by law, while I was in LFR a few hours after the report? Seems like if they out and out KNEW I was botting why would they let the appeal go?

And the wording of "has been using" like they've seen me using it in instances/LFR for a while now. I mainly just wanted opinions ... a friend of mine said they most likely dont watch you after the ban/appeal ... apparently they've been banned alot and appealed through player reports themselves, but keep in mind I didn't tell them I was using HB to help me with rotations of course. I so badly wanna bring up HB for another LFR tonight, I'm just a chicken ... just wondering if I should wait longer or just throw caution to the wind. I feel like I have the Eye of Saur-Blizzard me when I log on now lol.

What lua commands? Addons uses LUA, that's no evidence..

Relax! If GMwitnessed you botting in lfr or anywhere, you would eat very solid perma ban. They instead use such false mails to respect you, and made you think, you are detected etc. But the sole truth is, they have no idea if you botted or not, but since you have spent extensive ammount of time in deepholm, farming cloth, you are 100% bot for them!
