Everyone just forget about gold selling already, nothing, except maybe introducing new tier of currency with exchange rate 1:1mln, which would drop only in some sort of new content can revitalize currency trading. It was fun while it lasted, but as of now, any profit from D3 botting is to be made only of items, period.
 
Why are they not doing a ladder system like with d2? This would reset the currency problem.

i'm running four ot those heating machines + my laptop in my 1-room appartment which lacks any form of air flow. and it's 30-33?C outside.

wow, those are alot of false assumptions!

let me clarify, just you understand this:
-I don't pay more for electricity than my bots make, I still make enough to pay for my rent, food, electricity, internet, going out and I still have money to blow on shit I feel like buying. Not too shabby for a guy still attending university.
-I have two ventilators, but hot air will still be hot air. Without them the heat wouldn't be bearable.
-I invest about 1-2 hours a week to maintain my bots. That's not exactly "much time". I harvest items and gold every second week. I know I could still make alot more money if I would spend a decent amount of time to price my items etc but I'd rather go out swimming!

just because you are obviously not smart enough to still make some profit doesn't mean other people can't.

It's like an auto-cull for shithooks that can barely muster up enough common sense to survive IRL.

If any of you quitters have decent hardware to sell, you can pm me details or idea's on selling it.
 
well ... for me it's also complications with my Girlfriend ;) Otherwise the machine would be running 24/7 all day long despite of heat or falling prices or anything. But since I'm forced -If I want to have Sex and a good life etc. - to switch off the Machine during night times anyways, I'm just pausing for the time being ;)

Sound like to me you need to buy some additional silent fans.
I had the same problem when i had the standard one fan on case and 1 on my CPU cooler. Also GPU has 3 smaller fans in my rig.
The thing is that when i had just those fans when i put stress on my Rig they started spinning faster and making more noise naturally.
Get fans for every hole in my rig get some after market ones that are silent even on 100% RPM and things will get allot less noisy.
As a con you will have slightly bigger power bill :P


However avoid leds as the plague unless your afraid of the dark XD
I have to put a dense sock on my power led as it shines like the sun... it reflects of my wall and whole room is lit up....
 
Haha, thanks for the advice but the problem lies somewhere else. It's not simply the fact that the machine disturbs sleep itself it's more of a psychological thing. "I can't sleep well if I know that the machine is running, basically running for nothing but cheating a game!"

And since botting for me is just a hobby, I'd much rather keep sexy-times than earning a few bucks here and there. :P

It sounds like your girlfriend is a bit of a retard. It is running to produce income. "Running for nothing but to cheat a game" shares about the same commonality as milking a cow does to playing with cow tits. It is about the outcome, not the interpretation or misunderstanding of the act. You may find yourself enjoying much more substantial and engrossing relationships in the future if you avoid the mentally feeble, or perhaps pursue professional women if "sexy time" is of such sacrificial value to you.

Anyways. The point that Botting is a hobby for me - as I am not dependant on botting income - is the main point. I can simply switch on and off my bots in any case.
Oh and I like the "Mentally feeble" ones. They've got a special flavour.

I can hardly blame someone for preferring night full of sex, even with not very bright girlfriend, over earning couple euros of botting in that time. Sadly fate didn't seem fit to put me before such dilemma, therefore i bot 24/24.
