so is all the hype about the monks > barbs true?

built 4 barbs for about 15m~ each, all 45k+hp, 6500+ armor, 600+all res, 100k dps battlerage only
0 deaths per hour, but occasionally i'll see one die (doesn't change the 0deaths/hr), but i would say quite effiicient

all have a star ruby, 375k gold 14m exp / hour (don't really care about exp though, and gold is negligible since most of the income is from items)

so if i want to spend 20m~, will a monk really be more efficient?

already have 4 barbs that work great, should my 5th char be a barb or should it be a monk because monks are #1
 
Well you already know what barbs are like. Build a monk and see for yourself. Ultimately it won't cost you much time or money to see the results first hand.

If i look at my 5 monks right now they average 668k gph and 543 iph.

I prefer monk's because they seem to get stuck less. WW barb's run all around and seem to get stuck more often.
 
how the hell do you have those stats on barb with only 14m/hr xp? are you running at like 3 tps?

i'm assuming that it's becuase my computer isn't the greatest for botting
i've spent probably the last 2 hours just looking at buying shit for my computer (not just limited to this forum), and comparing it to how it would help my botting situation, and you seem to know a lot haha
current setup:

i3 2120
gigabyte h61ma
8 gb ram
xfx 6950 2gb
running 4 bots via isboxer

made my computer almost a year ago, and i was still in school so i had a budget, and figured the mobo/i3 would be a good fit since i3 can't be oced, and mobo won't let me either

now that i wanna set up more bots, i feel like upgrading to an i5 (although quad) won't be much significance without upgrading my ram (mo money mo problems), and even then i'm not sure how much of an upgrade it'll be without o/c (means need a new mobo too)

i think my shitty gph/exp per hr is due to my computer being unable to handle the 4 clients at once

bad timing to add bots imo. i personally would wait for 1.0.7. am rather sure they will whipe out bots before and depending on how long the patch takes you might just have trouble making your money back.
 
edit d3prefs to lowest settings. bitdepth, mpbias, and hardware class 1 being biggest gains.
close/end anything running not d3 related in task manager.
run d3 in windows fullscreen in game.
turn off instant window swap in isboxer.
go into trinity config advanced and enable TPS. drop it to 8 and raise until you max combined with fps (following step)
disable fps limit in d3 and in isboxer go to cpu wizard and limit fps to 15 with select all cpu/core with every window. (move up from 15 fps until you max).

thats all i can think of atm and should help. im not sure how yours compares to an amd athlon2 x4 black 3.6 but it runs 4 at 15 TPS and 30 fps so you should be able to run at better stats by a lot.

i already had the d3prefs changed, minus the hardware class. changed it and it reduced each client's memory usage by about 400k~. not noticing any lag at all, but after 3 hours gold/exp per hour are still the same-ish. i'll try upping the TPS since it's at default 10

decided i'll make my 5th a monk, and i'll see if it can get higher numbers
 
with 8GB ram you won't run a 5th bot, man.

you def need to upgrade that hardware a bit...
 
if it's a bot machine, sure.

but if you actually use the pc while botting, i doubt it.
