Gold reselling scene hitting all-times lows. (EU)

Got an offer of $0.7/k today, never thought it would go this low if I'm honest, 7 resellers just had no demand at all and 1 offered $0.7/k.
Thankfully a tried and trusted company offered me $2/k but could only buy 45k at the time, they've also gone down from $3.5>$3.0>$2.5 (stable for a while)>$2.0.. they will probably soon go to under $1.

I can near officially say that the reselling scene is dead.
Who's taking bets that it'll hit $0.1/k?
 
Just stop botting unless it's your main income (which I hardly believe..). Come back when Cataclysm is out - that's what I am going to do: bot for myself, to be able to afford that mammoth for 21k and gear when I hit 80 with my mage (or druid, dno which one will play..)

I still try to get more private buysers so I hope not to care about any resellers.
 
Its funny that people think that an expansion will increase the demand for gold when history tells us this simply isnt true at all. Gold prices held steady during BOTH expansions. There was no explosion of gold rates, no explosion of demand, they simply stayed the same, and even dropped in some cases. Dont believe me? Research it yourself or ask any of the many gold buyers out there, pusada for example.
 
My farmers farm to the gametime expires, then they rest.

I'm getting a bit sick of seeing the word catalyscm myself to be honest (no flame), not only is it about 6 months away, but if everybody is going to horde gold till when It's released, how the fuck are we going sell gold anyway? LOL.
Oh well, I live in hope that things will get better one day. :D
 
Well Places Sell for 0.50/k because they paid good till people where like " OMG MAN I just sold to pusada for 4$ per k man omg omg omg" Then 4 weeks later 0.70$/k


and new expansion will make gold prices even worse. Because everyone and there mother is saving up 50000k gold in there guild banks.
 
Gold is low at the moment that is true. I am still able to sell in bulk to a reseller not going to name as it will drive the prices even lower. He buys anywhere between 125-200k per week at $1.8/k. Sold him 115k last night. I know thats way down from where we have come but for me running the bots while at work it still equals several hundred $ per week for doing minimal work on top of my job income. I'm not complaining...yet
 
Myeah this is really sucking arse, big time. But im happy i found 2 private buyers on my server =)

odds are you never botted before cataclysm leave alone sell gold, so how would you know
 
I'd take the bet that he botted before cataclysm.
 
How about this: 30k g for a gamecard. Not bad I could say. We should all send warm thanks to kick for making that beautiful thread.

Not sure if you ware talking about EU or not, But when TBC hit, I was getting $100-$125 for 1k. ha summer of 2007 was a great year.

I would love for him to comment here just out of curiosity, he never seems to comment in these kind of thread's anymore, probably due to the fact that he more or less single handedly put the last nail in the coffin of the reselling scene.
Anybody know what It's like in the US? would appreciate your comments, EU is defiantly fucked atm though.

lulz. kick will be proud to hear that he brought about the end of goldselling. you really think him making a forum post with a few gold buyers websites addresses on it brought this all on.... wow. nice grasp of reality there.... though i blame kick for most problems in the world of reality, he's pretty much incapable of influencing WoW in any way... ironic isn't it :)
