Gold inflation occured?

Hello,

Since Pirox was down, our server's(korea) material's costs are increase rapidly. it's a huge inflation.

How about your country?

And does anybody who can explain about this? - I heard there are same situation in US.

In Korean forum they think there are two reasons for that.

1. Pirox down - They think pirox is best bot tool, After pirox was down, No more bot are avaliable,
so they cannot gather herbs and mines anymore (but I still gathering herbs. lol)

2. The botter moved to 'Tempest Keep' raid
In that place, Botter generate golds directly, and they can gather over the 1k gold per hours.

fucking chinise man lol they find everything now botting for ore is not as good as it was.
 
not worth it man US servers are way different here u need to be carefull on grinding
 
I think what he's saying is that since Pirox went down the AH is even more flooded with materials.

It's because people aren't using a shitty bot anymore. They switched to HB and now they are rocking the AH.

As look at the gold prices on mmoshift...they seem to correspond with the release of SW. Not to mention holidays...

No, almost same mats are there. The problem is buying gold cost is half than a month ago.

That means they finally make gold on their own.

nowadays Inferno Ruby sells over the 300 golds each.


PS. I know my english is not perfect, if u don't understand what I mean. comment about it.

You could set up your normal bots, and just do some grinding there manually.

In this way even if you get banned, have some chats w/ friends going and such.
Then you can get the account back very easy.

Not your fault it's so easy to farm gold there :p
 
The reason for the price increase isnt because pirox has been shut down, because to my knowledge its still available untill the 25th of jan.

Patch 4.3 was released and thats when the increase came, all the people gemming gear, new enchants, more flasks for new raids e.t.c

Imho many entry level botters who were using pirox are not botting atm. The closure out of blue scared them also debates about user info may be handed over to blizzard and the lawsuit with blizz-HB. I know a lot of casual botters using pirox/lazybot who r not botting anymore.

With the DS Raid, demand for gems/enchants to new items thus demand for ore went up. With pirox down we may assume a negative shift at supply curve too which explains drastical rise of ore prices on some low-mid populated realms. and almost 100% percent rise on mid-high populated realms. I think the main factor here is the demand because I believe almost the whole of gold market supply is fulfilled by professionals.
However this one thing is bugging me, higher prices should also shift the demand for gold, as people need more gold to fulfill their needs now. Also less botters, even a bit less should also support this, but the inflation also caused the average gold per day almost doubled. So my conclusion on the current state of market is that this shift in gold supply is much more than rise of demand which leads a fall of gold price. Some buyers may have started farming their own gold as many ppl has some gold-making alt and its easy to gather gold for now.

I expect the mat prices to get lower but the gold price may get going this low for a while, however a deep economical analysis of the current situation is complicated as it involves the association of different markets ( gold selling market, raw mats market, and final product market).
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this so we can see the whole picture.

As a side note; In terms of farming-auctioning cycle pirox was no shit, it was lacking combat base and public questing profiles thats all.

Well, a lot of licences enabling fly-gathering been expired by now. (due to monthly installments)

It was, only issue is it couldn't automatically generate a path, but other than that, I prefer it over HB.
Oh well, HB is good as-well.
 
Also on the tempest keep thing, there is a bot present selling that profile seperately from their bot. License is based on 24 hours which you can pause and continue.
Its not chinese but a korean base bot. I think it is the same botbase used at stolen accounts during TBC (Shadow lab anyone?)
I would suggest NOT to use that. I did not used tempest keep profile but i used their questing on one of my clean, new account with 100% supervision. That account got banned a few days after I hit 80. (Outland-Horde EU)
During leveling I have seen only a few people around.
 
My realm has been a ghost town since just before christmas. I'm not sure of the cause but for me it's hard to sell anything. Prices for minerals and herbs are going down. It is a lower population realm. I know a bunch of my friends are playing SWTOR right now but some of them are starting to come back because they are getting bored.

In fact, that botbase IS chinese.
