going to repair and crosses blacskpot?

I am improving an existing profile and I have problems because when the toon goes to repar it crosses a zone full of elite and gets killed too often.
I'm coming back to HB after a long pause so I was just wondering: does the toon actually ignore blackspots when going to repair/vendor?
