I'm assuming you are referring to the mobile web interface since the chat box is always visible on the regular web interface and within JGlideMon itself.
You actually can tap/click on a player's name in the chat log to whisper them or a channel name (i.e. general, guild, party, etc) to open the chat window and have it pre-filled (this works for both the mobile and regular web interfaces). On the mobile version, it should then stay on the chat log once you press the Send button (though there currently appears to be a bug that causes it to scroll all the way to the top of the log instead of the bottom).
As far as logging out, it is possible by sending "/camp" as raw chat, but you probably need to stop the bot first and make sure you're not in combat. Not streamlined i realize.
Logging in would be a bit trickier because I'm not sure about the feasibility of sending keystrokes via a web-application (would be easier with a native app).
Sorry, yes I was referring to the mobile web interface. Not sure how I missed clicking on 'guild' in the chat logs to send replies from the same area but I did. I blame lack of sleep and I'm sticking to that excuse.
Thanks for the reply and pointing out the errors of my ways.
