This is a very controversial topic that comes up on a regular basis. I don't think anyone can make a rational argument that PvP botting is not the primary reason people complain so much about bots. When people complain a lot and Blizz loses subscribers/revenue they are more inclined to act.
I think that people who bot in PvP are the scum of the earth. They are on the same level of people who use aim bots and wall hacks in FPS games. I can't say that I'm much better than them though because I bot as well. I only use the bot for menial tasks like leveling fishing, garrison tasks, and performing reputation daily grinds, but my botting still negatively impacts the state of the game. If I did not bot then I would be buying more stuff on the AH and selling less. I artificially inflate the economy.
If Bossland disables their bot in PvP then people will go elsewhere. There is a market for PvP bots and Bossland is meeting that need. Disabling it will only take money out of their pocket and give it to someone else.
My point is this, we are all botters so get off your holier than thou pedestal. Disabling the bot in PvP will resolve nothing. Honorbuddy is the most well known bot, so it doesn't matter what kickbot they are using in PvP honorbuddy will get the blame.
