General Rift Loot Question

I've picked up a few blue random world drops. Does Rift have random purple world loot drops?

I have not seen any, but a friend told me there were. I quick google serch could not bring up any loots lists though.

yes, I have gotten two with my 50 warrior. both lvl 44
