I've noticed a massive dip in emerald flawless sq. prices.
Was wondering what you all do with your gems?
Do you incl. pickup gems in your loot scripts then craft them into stars and sell?
Do you just collect them then sell on ah?

You can make around 100k profit from crafting topaz and emerald stars if you have the rare resources (tomes, flawless squares, 500k).
Anyone find this is worth the time?

Even better yet, has anyone been using these spare resources to craft higher tier gems then selling them? Found it profitable?
 
The massive dip in prices are because of the massive dip in real players. The D3 hype is over and blizzard dont wanna admit it, but if you look at blizzard forums there is alot less post now then before. I think more and more people start to realize how piece of shit game it is to play :P
 
i just pick up all gems and sell them at AH
 
I'm stashing up my gold on the mule now, aswell as good items - Gonna pray a ban doesn't hit my mule, and then wait untill the PvP patch to unload. PvP will bring back TONS of players - PvP in D2 had lots of fans.
 
Also pvp looks funs ( i personally dont like Diablo series no my type of game) but yea it looks fun :p
 
yeah, prices will surely rise again as soon as pvp is released. lets just pray that they dont mess it up as they did with the original game. also it wouldnt hurt if they release it within the next 1-2 month.

More like next 1-2 weeks... The views on twitch goes down with like 100-50 every day during primetime hours... I would hate D3 to die so early, it so much more money that can be made!

yes, we can literally see the game die atm. alot of forums i used to be around have highly decreased in activity (and im not putting the first 3-4 weeks of hype into play, people are starting to get bored/stop playing constantly for weeks now). you can see that on twitch as well. when 6 weeks ago one single stream would have 10k+ viewers, now its down to 3k when you count all streams together. some of the big streamers have stopped as well because they were bored with this game.

i mean srsly... how retarded can one be to release this without pvp!? for some reason i dont want to see this die because there is money to be made. on the other hand i would feel happy to see it die, just because blizzard deserves nothing else. but they have already made their money with their record sales so i guess this wont really hurt lal.

For the players, there's MoP PvP or GW2 PvP if Diablo 3 dies.

For Blizzard, MoP will be its reliable cash cow to milk from.

What I'd like to know is, who on earth is still buying on the RMAH? I stopped playing a long time ago. Completed it once with one char, played well into Inferno with a few other chars, and that was enough. Since a few weeks after the D3 release, all I have done is bot and trade GAH to RMAH.

I mean, great that people are still willing to part with real money. It gives me a nice little bit of pocket money each day but, who on earth are these people?

Perhaps there isn't anyone else. It's just us lot trading with each other, lol

Probably people with decent jobs and no guilt. I sold a $50 rmah piece withing 20 minutes of posting yesterday.

Excellent. at that price, I think you must be right. It shows that there are probably normal players still out there :)
 
Well this thread obviously got very derailed but as far as Diablo 3 dying, I'm sure that Blizzard would never let that happen. Being the huge and respected company they are, they will surely come up with things which will get the players back and attract masses of new players. There's a lot of potential in this game but the truth is that we needed developers who were biased to the way the previous game was, not developers who are trying to make big changes to something which was already near perfect imho.

Alright guys I am not saying that I know someone on the inside but I do and here is the scoop.

Blizzard in general is a good company they make great stuff. The problem lies with their parent company activision. Diablo 3 was supposed to have PVP on release. Hell it was even previewed at E3 like 2 or 3 years ago. Activision needed a game released after COD MW 3 (or whatever the name was) and before MOP and COD black ops to keep their investors happy and they pressured blizzard to release Diablo 3 9 or 10 months earlier than it was slated to be released. Blizzard was on track to release D3 during the 1st quarter of 2013 which would seriously impact their profits for 2012 and create a void of like 8 months without a major release.

Are you sure about that? I've been hearing that for the expansion they are planning on adding a robot as a playable class.
