Gearing a barb for act 3

Recently I been leveling a barb to farm act 3. Not because of scared of bans, I'm still botting sarkoth 24/7. However, I dun Rly know much about barb items. It would be great if someone were to tell
Me how much shld I spend on a piece of item and shld I use dual one hand or one hand with Shield.also,if u dun mind posting ur mf here,it would be great. Thanks.

dual wielding bots are pretty dumb, you get less MF and higher chance of death. go with mf/all resist and str/vit if you can find one.

I have 290 mf and breeze through act 1, gonna probably upgrade 1-2 items and do act 2 next, all my gear was 10 mill plus 8 mill weapon. I have 0 loh but such high hp/resist/armor that revenge keeps me alive and my bot dies MAYBE once an hour.

EDIT FOR THE CURIOUS: 18 mill got me these stats

1340 str
480 dex
400 int
1200 vit

10100 armor
450 all resist

hp: 48k
20% block chance
20% dodge chance
19.6k damage

12% ms
290% magic find

monks and barbs use different Items I am so confused as to what this post is even about

monk dumb dont bother barb is more op

barb just go for 35k+ HP, 1k+ all res, 1k+ loh, shield and crit damage try get liek 20k+ dps should do alright for act one, take that and just scale it to the difc of a different act

i honestly don't know why everyone says get loh. like i said i have a barb with 0 loh, and decently cheap gear, he rarely dies in act 1, RARELY. Revenge is so ridiculously amazing it's not even funny + a few plugins.

Monk doesn't need LoH for Act 1 either....Act 3 though without LoH is suicide.

haven't tried act 3, but you're probably right, act 1 is just so ridiculously easy without LoH I feel like a barbarian can survive anything without it. I'm probably going to push him to act 3 this week and go cry in a corner.

this is why I said LOH cause topic said A3, pref it makes it easier to reference if A1 is X hard, just scale X for all of the stats and he should be fine. Other than that to get down to number crunching its more less test the gear if u die... try something new

Act 1 is easy? LoH is very necessary in late game.

I'm sure you'll get different answers depending on gear level. Here is what I am using currently and haven't died in a few days with [A1 - Inferno] Champion-Hunting and about 4 games per hour.


Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III

You can swap earthquake for Ignore Pain if you need more defensive help, and I chose three survival passives too. I could/should probably test swapping them out with offensive, but I like not dieing.
