GB stopped working

What's sad is the update wasn't even that bad. The only thing that changed was memory addresses, most of which were already up on MMOwned like...literally 20 hours ago.

Yeah you're right. Bossland should just assume that someone else's work is correct and use it for his own update and risk all of his customers getting banned in one easy shot; amazing idea!

Or of course the other option is to just let him work as fast as he can/wants to and let us get back to botting in the safest way we can?
 
The people with lifetime subscriptions obviously get a few days added to their lives. I just know you can make it happen! ;)

Anyway, rather be 'safe' than sorry as usual.

lol. So many things wrong with your theory I don't even know where to begin. The addresses are the same for these bots as they are for everybody else's. Getting an address wrong wouldn't get you banned, it would simply make the program crash or return an error.

I didn't dig too deep, but no offsets changed, atleast not the ones I use. Thus you know that there were no structure changes, so all you would need to find are the new 3.2.2 base addresses. Tools like IDA Pro handle this task in literally a button click. I'm also not sure where you got the idea that just because there was a content patch you're somehow less safe then you were yesterday. It's just a matter of updating addresses that change with every patch.

Bossland - could you just confirm to those of us who pay you a monthly subscription will be credited with the days that Gatherbuddy is offline for? Im sure most of us will be happy to wait a couple of days for you to do what you need to do to get everything working again, provided that we are credited the time lost & our subscription is extended

i total agree just let him do his work so we dont all get banned lol :) we would be fked off if we all got banned now wouldnt we :(

I was under the impression that the bot uses memory offsets to inject commands and that Warden or the WoW Client keeps track of memory which is why we have Tripwire? If that's the case then surely using incorrect memory offsets would make the software crash or return an error but it would also potentially alert Warden that the memory is being tampered with. That'd be enough to flag your account which could end up with a ban?

Also even if the memory offsets just need a 2 minute update, Tripwire may need far more to be secured against any changes made to Warden/the client?

My understanding of the architecture behind GB/HB may be wide of base though...

In either event though it won't make things progress any quicker by hurrying the guys along. :(
 
well you see... they *may* have it working, its just that they need to test it. so (im just guessing here) if boss/hawk get a trial acct (good for up to L20) and GB and/or HB it, and it gets banned... no worries. also they can see what else would be messed up, besides a simple memory footprint. when i used to do C++ you profile could run good for 5 mins or 5 years (providing no changes by the server)

something to think about :)
