Is gatherbuddy 1 superior? what's the diff?

GB1 is in no way superior.

It uses macros set on a certain actionbar in WoW.
It uses the most basic of pathing.

Pluses: It takes up maybe 10% of the RAM space as HB2 (running GB2) does.

GB2 is infinitely better imo. The way I had my macros set up made people suspicious of me while I used gb1 (crusader aura mostly) and the combat really sucked for some classes.

If your PC has more than 4g of ram or less, go with GB1. It will keep potential freezes/lockups/errors to a minimum.
If it is over that, and your CPU can handle 4 HB.exes running, do that. Also, if you happen to have 2 internal hard drives, run 2 of the bots off an install of wow on drive 1, run 2 of the bots off an install of wow on drive 2.
