[PAID] GarrisonButler

So is this program I PAID for going to be updated so that I can use it without having to revert to the old HB? I think it's ridiculous that this hasn't been updated and that I have to revert to use it. C'mon guys, get it done.
 
please please can you update this bot I paid full price for it but since the new hb update my char just runs back and forth and not do anything please update it or I will be seeking a full refund thanks

So, I read the HB patch notes for the last version. They changed the code for how Garrisons worked, forcing GarrisonButler (and Boss, I think) to recode to point at a new area. As a programmer, I can tell you that this is an annoying change, especially if they change the format of the data returned from the API. It has been down a couple days. Relax. It isn't like it was broken through malicious intent by the developer. And even if it WERE updated right now, HB would still have to approve the update.

Give it a rest with the threats. It works just fine if you roll back your Honorbuddy to the previous version as has been stated repeatedly (I used it on over 10 toons twice today). If you roll back honorbuddy and accept the auto-update, it will break again. If you use HBRelog like I do, but don't turn off the setting to auto-update Honorbuddy, it will break again. The product works fine.

Also, read the posts from the last couple days whenever you have issues, and you will see tips and tricks by the veteran users and how they are coping. Asking for a refund is permanent, so make damn sure you mean it. See my previous posts for reasons why you should continue using Garrison Butler.

Great post man....Im really frustrated atm but I will be patient. The problem is that I D/C a lot with the old version of HB and Ice Buttler...I don't know why. Anyone have this problem ?

Hi, I have a annoying little problem with this thing. I have multiple toons so I am using HB relog, when logs on honorbuddy most of the time it would get stuck at "Changing current profile to Empty Profile". So, every time I have to kill Honorbuddy using task manager. This made me frustrated some time, I would like to know what are the tip or trick to fix this problem?
 
as a dev i would place this kind of important information in the start post right at the top!
everyone knows how lazy people are today, don't expect them to read 1 or 2 pages before asking / blaming ...

Try the following in order, and test between each step as each step gets more disruptive. Do not use HBRelog to test at any point, as that can add a different variable to the equation. Run the botbase manually!

1) Make sure you are running WoW in DirectX 9 mode (in the WoW settings, advanced maybe?)

2) Make sure you are running WoW in 32-bit mode

3) Clear out your GarrisonButler settings. This is a per-toon thing. The settings can be found in your HB directory, under the folders Settings -> ServerName -> CharacterName -> GarrisonButlerSettings.xml. Back up the file somewhere else if you like, and remove it from the directory or delete it.

4) Use the Singular combat routine for your class. Some routines can interfere with botbase functionality. I know Singular works for all classes for GarrisonButler, at least, because I have personally tested it.

5) Disable all HB plugins temporarily, as some can introduce behaviors that counter the botbase.

6) Install a clean version of HB in a new directory and test. (remember at the time I am writing this, you will want to get the OLD version of HB as posted HERE)

7) Try running HB against a WoW directory that has NO add-ons installed. Remember, some add-ons like ElvUI and SupervillianUI can interfere with Honorbuddy.

8) Still stuck? Post or PM a log file to Deams/Justin1234 so they can review it. Since I am paranoid that some of the data in the log file can be used by Blizzard to identify you, and since there is nothing preventing a Blizzard employee from downloading your log, I would avoid posting the log directly here. Not a rule, just my own practice.

Also, while on the subject, remember that there is an infinite number of variations of WoW settings, HB settings, plugins, and WoW addons that could possible exist. No developer can test for every last variation, and can only test some common variations. If you have custom stuff, or you have something that may be different or you were trying to do something that the product may not have been designed for, make sure you mention it when reporting something not working. If I manually modify an XML file and it breaks things, log files may not show everything. If you have an antivirus preventing you from saving a settings file, that may not show in a log. Hell, the log file may be blocked. Try doing some troubleshooting of your own setup that isn't controlled or visible to the developers.

9) Relax. Everything is going to be okay. Remember that there is a war out there. Blizzard is doing everything it can to stop you from botting. The Honorbuddy team is doing everything it can to counteract all the defenses Blizzard puts in place WHILE bringing new features and providing new tools for the 3rd party developers to leverage. And remember that the 3rd party developers are trying their best to bring new features while riding the waves that Blizzard and Honorbuddy are making. Don't assume the worst, and try to stay positive. We are putting one over on WoW and getting ahead.

10) Refunds are available within the allotted timeframe from Honorbuddy if you must (not controlled or influenced by the developer), but remember that if you get a refund, you can NEVER purchase the product again. And discarding a product for temporary downtime is like saying "I have a hammer in my toolbox that broke. I'm going to get my money back and never use a hammer again!" Don't limit yourself, because it will only hurt you. Again, relax!

If something in this guide helped get you fixed, post that you got it working and what you did to get it working. It will encourage other people and hopefully get them fixed. If there are a lot of positive posts, more people will buy the bot. If more people buy the bot, the developers may just devote more time to getting new features in, or fixing real bugs.

I know that this post will fall off and never be read as soon as enough people post rage posts without reading anything first, but perhaps it will save me time so that I can copy and paste this in the future. lol

Quit making excuses and fix the frickin program. Seriously, this isn't "rocket science" so a fixing shouldn't be terribly hard. If I don't receive a fix in the next few days I'm going to demand a refund based on unresponsive devs who have left their product out there with no support. I mean we "PAID" for this, shouldn't that stand for something !

Help me please.

I have a problem with the Lite version. It's not working anymore. Instead of mining/herbing and doing workorders. It's just running around and getting stuck in buildings and trying to find it's way to the mine, jumping and walking from left to right as if it's stuck somewhere.

the release of new hb was 3days ago
most of us payed 20 euro for working bot, some of us 25
so, after 3 days there is no fix?

Use 782 version. Everything works.

there is a fix, you have to add a empty profile.xml (there are several in this form which should work) then the problem won´t occour anymore (i even linked it but the post was some weeks ago + deams quoted me on page 1 post 3 (but there is no link in it afaik)
edit: just found one in kicks profile pack:

iam not 100% certain that it will work with this one, since my empty profile contained more tags but it should work. otherwise search for another empty / blank profile.

yea this isn´t fucking rocket science your right about that, some hours after the new hb version (which broke it) was released a fix was posted in this thread
( -> download/use the old honorbuddy version) even a link to it was posted for people who didn´t have the download of the old version anymore.
it was also suggested that you can just make a new folder from the honorbuddy.zip just for gb so you can use the new version on your main installation.
even if deams would have fixed / changed the bot so that it would work with the new pathing system bossland still needs to verify it / approve it so you can´t fix it in some hours....
