[PAID] GarrisonButler

Just a quick question, Garrison Bulter is not showing up in my list of available bot bases. is this because of the issues people are having or am I having my own unrelated issue?

It was still showing up for me and others, can you post a log?
 
For those that are requesting refunds because the Buddy team is releasing a free version, be sure to try that version first. I did, and what I discovered was a couple things:

1) As the Buddy Team has the ability to modify code to the core Honorbuddy, they can make changes to improve functionality to improve their version that the 3rd party botbases cannot (IE, change the mesh calls, etc.) This has a side effect of potentially breaking the 3rd party botbases until they modify to use the new API.
2) The GarrisonBuddy free botbase (ironic name considering GarrisonButler's roots), has 0 configuration options. If you don't want it to fill up the work orders on your dwarven bunker... tough. Also, I found that it got stuck in an infinite loop trying to upgrade a follower I had that was already 675. Do I want it to auto-upgrade my followers? I'm not sure. Maybe a setting would be nice!
3) GarrisonButler was the first. All the other botbases started with the innovations that the GarrisonButler team put into play first. At the end of the day, Deems drove out innovation and set the bar that the other botbases had to match. I haven't seen evidence that the new free version will be as innovative.
4) Everyone was given a trial opportunity to use GarrisonButler. Everything was above board. There wasn't a free version available. You may have even profited for up to 5 months because you had GarrisonButler while those that didn't fell behind. Further, GarrisonButler's team didn't create GarrisonBuddy (again, ironic name), so are not obligated to respond to their releases. No one is entitled to a refund (unless they recently purchases GarrisonButler, in which case make DAMN sure you really want to forgo all future updates since you can never buy it again in the future!)

I agree with most of this.

To me the free GarrisonBuddy product does a few things for Bossland:
1) Makes buying HonorBuddy more appealing
2) Gives players who refuse to buy a product an opportunity to farm their Garrison
3) Clear evidence that the purchased products are worth it!

Bottom-line: The free GarrisonBuddy botbase will never be as all inclusive as this product is presently. For Example: HB has been around for many years and has no built in mailing options such as the one in the ICE version.
 
Minor bug: Please evaluate the fully qualified character name when avoiding mailing to yourself. For example, if on Newbie-ServerName, skip over mail to "Newbie" or "Newbie-ServerName".

This is causing a minor inconvenience for me since I am running garrisons between linked servers, and the linked server toons need the full name to mail across the linked server. For example, Newber-ServerName2 requires the full name to mail to Newbie-ServerName. This is only possible for linked servers, I imagine.

The devs are trying to balance real life, fixing this issue as well as finishing the few issues that were being pushed in this next release.

My best guess is less than a week.
My recommendation is to convert back one HB version as the only thing it really added was GarrisonButler, which is not comparable IMO.
Blah has posted above on how this is done.
Still the best product on the market, worth running one version HB behind for one week :-)
 
I am very disappointed in this product. I had just purchased it and there was no response from Deams. If this still persists, I would like my money back as i felt being ripped off.

Fair warning, this is the best product on the market in my opinion. Once you get a refund you can never buy the product again. The only reason this is down is because of the patch yesterday. my recommendation is to be patient until the product is fixed or revert back to the honorbuddy 1 version previous. As stated above.

Sorry i am pretty new here, whats the difference of butler and the garrison buddy one?
