Garrison Boss or Garrison Butler? Which is best?

I'm quite unhappy with ice atm. It is behaving unstabley. It's been some time since an update. It's kind of. Even broken since the patch. Also it has been a while since new features were added. I was totally happy with it before the patch. It was a great product. I hope it becomes so again. I tried all the usual suspect cache cleaning. It was a 5/5 before. It did every thing as advertised, flawlessly.


Edit: Ice is again working flawlessly. I retract my earlier post. I am again a very happy customer.

I have it. It too has its issues. Its finicky about rapid character change, and I have to baby sit it to much. I like the product, but I wish it we a bit more robust.
 
I have both.

GarrisonButler is simple. You tell it to collect mines, herbs, accept missions and open salvage crates. You tell it what materials to trade with at the Trading Post. The ICE version has extended logic, including who to mail what to - for example, which alt to mail all your ore to, or which alt will disenchant all the greens in your mailbox.

It does not support trapping, fishing, or pet battle dailies.

GarrisonBoss, on the other hand, is more complex. It does all of the above, but also has support for trapping (will fly to the appropriate area and trap the required beast), fishing (will fly to the appropriate area), and cooking what you fish up. It has extended logic for starting new missions. It is very intimidating to a new user, with lots of bells and whistles.

If you're just wanting to automate the herb and mining collection, grab Garrison Butler.

If you want more (now, or in the future) and don't mind tweaking settings, grab GarrisonBoss.

Both suffer from minor pathing issues; some races have difficulty entering the Garrison dooorway. The only way for these issues to be fixed is by uploading logs of the problem and helping out the developers.
 
I've got GarrisonButler ICE, and the only downside to it I've seen so far is it has had a lot of bugs in the past and development has been progressing slowly due to the developers having issues at home or something. Right now though it is working fantasticly using it with HBRelog with 8 alts. There's going to be improvements in the future too, atleast the devs have promised this, especially to those who own ICE. Let's hope they deliver :)
