Hey guys - I had help here building a strong PC.

Now my friend needs a new PC - he often comes by my place, so he'll need a laptop due to travelling.

What gaming laptops do you recommend? Note, no selfbuilding crap, but an already build awsome one!

Preferably something with good cooling, that doesn't reach a gazillion degrees when playing.

He has 1500?

The laptop is excellent and comes at a very reasonable price. I bought a similar one recently which I just tried to find, but failed, and it had a similar spec for a similar price. You cannot go wrong with the spec on that laptop and it will multi-task everything you can throw at it. One recommendation though, would be to buy a laptop cooling base for it (Cooler Master sell the best ones - NotePal U3 is good). Core i7's run extremely hot and a laptop cooling base will prolong the life of the processor/laptop.

I have ALIENWARE m18x with all the upgrades costs me around $5600

and guess what? It can only run 6 bots.. and it is already lagging and very slow on 6bots...

you need to start building your own... or pay extra money...

I studied and tried to use the same specs as this BIG BOY have

so now my BAD ARSE PC IS DONE the problem is with the bots getting banned.. even with "ALL" the safe/security advice/options out there...

I'm not sure if you're stupid or well.. just stupid. I CLEARLY stated that we are getting a laptop, due travelling. Why would I wanna build my own PC then?
 
I have a ASUS G74S here.

Love it, works great for all sorts of gaming applications and the huge screen is great for spreadsheets and multitasking(it's a work laptop). The laptops chassis design is excellent and has amazing cooling with the rear exhaust, no need for a cooling pad in my opinion as the bottom hardly gets warm. Fans are pretty darn quiet too even when I'm stressing the system and they are running at full blast. The power supply(cord) will get VERY hot and shut itself down after a few hours if I don't prop it up or use a fan near it which is a little crappy. The construction feels very solid, the rubberized exterior was a turn off at first but I've come to love it.

The touchpad is complete garbage though, a mouse is essential.Built in speakers are quite dissapointing, but again that's not really something I care about since I use headphones. Too few USB ports for my liking, but I'll live.

Overall I would definitely recommend any machine in that series.
 
have a G73 here..... Couldnt be any happier

Except for the stupid touch pad..... it makes me angry

just with some parts different, I added SSD 128gb and 4gb ddr3 more..

It is really nice, I run diablo 3 windoned, another session in vmware and playing BF3 windowed in 1080p all ultra settings..
I just didn't like 2 things, it has around 5 kilos and when u run heavy games (like bf3) do too much noise... but I guess any gamer computer do some noise from the fans..
 
Haven't read what the other ones posted, but that laptop seems outdated? For that kind of money, why the hell is it using GTX 560M? I bought my laptop 2 years ago for just below what your budget is and I've got a GTX 580M in my laptop.

Pham I know that you're danish, try this site.. it seems like som very good prices. And if a component that you want aint on the list of possible upgrades/downgrades, call em and they'll give you a price :)

ASUS G74VW

love it and its cheap and great. ASUS hardware is great and you never get a "lemon". Dont get an alienware because they are owned by dell and most dell products are refurbished parts but manufactured as new that is why they sell cheap as hell. Last but not least get a SSD and your computer will fly.
