The Buddy Store now supports ArcheBuddy! The Buddy Store can make both paid and free content available to users in a seamless fashion.

If you are a new user of Buddy Store, this article should answer any questions you may have:

What's this about "paid content"?
Bossland GmbH does not allow its forums to be used as a marketplace. Since the forums for the product are new, we need the Community to be aware that offering paid products on the forum is not acceptable.

So, if you are currently offering paid products from the forum, we need you to immediately:
 • Arrange to have the products made available from the Buddy Store, or
 • Move the product off the Bossland GmbH forums onto a third-party website.
If you choose the latter path, you will need to provide product support from the third-party website, also.

How do I get started putting my product in the Buddy Store?
This article should answer all of your questions:

Frequently Asked Questions
"I'm a developer of paid content. How long do I have to move my product where it needs to go?"
We need all paid content moved out of the forums immediately. We recognize that it takes some time to gain the "Community Developer" title, and fill out the forms needed to place products in the Buddy Store. We will work with you to expedite this endeavor.

But, all paid content must be out of the forums by 31-Oct-2014.

"What about free content?"
Free content may remain in the forums, or may be placed in the Buddy Store. The choice is the developer's.

"Are all products eligible for inclusion in the Buddy Store or posting on the Buddy Forums?"
No. If your product is a h4ck or che4t of some sort, it will not be accepted to the Buddy Store. Your only recourse is to move it to a third-party website.

This applies to all h4cks or che4ts—whether they are paid or free content. Examples of h4cks or che4ts include:
 • movement speed enhancements
 • teleport hacks
 • map hacks
 • transparency hacks
 • duplication hacks
There is some discretion as to what is or is not a hack. For instance, all radars are not illegal. As long as they only show you stuff you could otherwise see. But, if they show you 'invisible' things, then indeed that's a hack.

You can get a clearer picture of what is or is not allowed by reading this article:

"My FREE product might be considered to be a h4ck or che4t. Do I need to move it off the Buddy forums?"
Yes, absolutely. And, please do so immediately. H4cks and che4ts are illegal in some contexts, and do not belong in the Buddy forums.

"What happens if I take no action?"
All threads violating forum rules (e.g., paid content, h4cks, che4ts, etc.), will be closed and archived on 31-Oct-2014. Attempts to reconstitute threads that have been archived for violating forum rules will result in infractions—possibly leading to forum account bans.

"Do the forum 'no advertising' rules apply?"
Since Bossland has provided the Buddy Store venue to host paid products, the "no advertising" rules apply.
For those unfamiliar with the rules, you can read more about them in thee articles:

"In the forums, can I point people to my product on a third-party website?"
No. This is part of what "no advertising" means. Again, the forums are not to be used as a marketplace—even if you feel it is 'helping' someone.

Users are expected to contact you privately, or use Google to find your product. Please be aware if you initiate contact with a user, and the user reports you for 'spamming', you will be banned from the forums. There are excellent reasons this rule exists.

"Why is paid content not allowed in the forums?"
Bossland GmbH operates and sells its product in many countries. As such, the company must abide by the laws in the countries in which it makes its product available. Some of these laws prevent selling in an 'unregulated' marketplace (e.g., using the forums). The Buddy Store is a 'regulated' marketplace and can meet the legal requirements that the forum can not.

"Can I make a donation link available on free offerings?"
Absolutely. Community members should always feel free to express their appreciation in an unsolicited fashion.
Making a convenient donation link available is where it stops—if the donation is solicited in any fashion, the product will be considered a 'paid product'.

"Can I 'require' a donation for a product?
"'Requiring' a donation" is weasel wording for a "selling a product". If you take money to provide access to a product, this is called 'selling'. You are welcome to do this, but products offered in such fashion will be considered as, and treated as paid products.

Since it's not covered and probably is a valid question as it applies to all bots, What is your company's stance on people accepting donations in return for access? Would this be considered paid or free content?

Hi, Giwin,

We checked with the company owners, and have added two more FAQs to address their position. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

cheers,

Dear admins, Out, chinajade,
I have request for you to execute punishments on users who sell custom plugins as .dll. Many of then started their topics here, requesting for help, test users or ofering basic versions of thair plug for free. Then, after their selfish goal achived (test done, advertisment works) they do stop development and support for their free versions keeping them unstabile and dungerouse to use as we all found out - Trion is fighting us with fire. I trully belive the only safe plugin is open source one becouse then you can mod it to feel your needs and keep your character safe. Honestly, the ones from the Buddystore should also provide source files, for same reasoning. You never know what author codded as anti-afk, for example, then we give Trion advantage we shouldnt.

Quick question: how long should we expect to wait for the access to the developper portal (to send the full application) after sending a mail to the dev in charge of these?
