[FYI] New Profile Writing toy <CustomBehavior> now documented

Profile Writers,

The latest releases of Honorbuddy have given us a new toy... &lt;CustomBehavior&gt;. The Wiki has been updated with this new functionailty:

and the two default CustomBehaviors that ship with Honorbuddy are captured here:

• [wiki]Honorbuddy Custom Behavior: TalkToAndListenToStory[/wiki]

Also, Natfoth has been so kind to drop several new CustomBehaviors into the Plugins section:

A new subforum would be nice but I was hoping this wouldn't be a permanent solution to these kinds of quests. Will we ever have standalone profile tags for these since it seems more of a hassle in the long term effect?

Something like this would be very nice for very complicated quests but for some of these can't they be implemented into tags?

Believe me, I'm with you on this one! I've put several BugTracker requests in for missing functionality.

The way I look at it, the HBteam gave us a stopgap to solve our own problems until they can get around to doing something 'proper' about it. I sure hope that's their view, too.

Just think how complicated questing is itself. Then think about how to make questing customizable.

Then try to make a worgen starting zone and having to create a custom behavior for all 80 quests.

not saying anything bad but honestly when i'm writing mine i end up with this throbbing pain in the front part of my head. i do understand how complicated it is and how far it has come since it was first introduced. its just crazy how much really goes into making a good profile now and well HB has been able to make bot questing a REAL !!!!

Try the "Quest Order" button in HB as well as "the Active Quests List" They save lives with fighting crime!

I use that but its kinda hard to use it when you have to say do a bombing quest, then the next quest is a cannon quest, then the next quest you have to blow up fat guys, then fire yourself onto ships.
