Please read the following, I think it's helpful for bug fix and those who suffer with the stated problems:
1)Freeze/Crash, FPS drops:
set the in-game effect to be lowest, this helps in my case a lot.
2)Not interacting with Shrines and chest then get stuck:
After observers many runs I found these happens A LOT (Almost every time) when the Shrines/Chest spawn at a corner(the corner could be both inwards or outwards) or very close a wall
Fail to enter the next lv of rift when the exit is AT THE END OF THE STAIR, EVERY TIME
