remove:
- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
- microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable
restart your pc,
download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip
run them as administrator.
after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++

Is there something that causes this to happen that I can avoid in the future? HB worked fine yesterday and now today I will need to follow your instructions Tony (I've had to do this many times in the past). I suppose what I'm asking is what manner of things causes us to have to do this and is there any way we can take preventative action in the future?

I also went through the recommended steps Tony and this doesn't seem to fix the problem. I'm still stuck on the "Checking for Buddy Store Products."
