Majaroty of the supported windows OSs including windows 8 particular ships with windows defender enabled..

Windows defend real time scan, is a lot more aggressive these days, and with the latest build seems to cause issues with HB and wow..

A possible test you can do, disable your windows defender real time scanning (it's on and running out of the box) and see if it removes the fps lag..

If it does add your HB directory to be disabled by the real time scans and re enable it..

This resolved 4 of HB users I supported today via team viewer..

Done.

I have windows defender completely disable and still get bad fps drop

Windows Defender is disabled by default with Microsoft Security Essentials. I'm adding all processes associated with WoW and HB to the exclusions. I'll report back if it works.

Tried this with and without and got FPS issues.

No worries, its only a possible fix, can I ask if you have had fps issues with hb before ?

Some pcs there is no fix, an upgrade is your only solution..hb CPU and memory usage is getting higher and higher the more advanced it gets... its more the capable of bottle necking your pc via CPU threads, this isn't a dig a hb either, as pcs get more powerful as will the bot..

However the fps some of the guys I was helping, was not hardware related at all, they where all 3k plus new systems running gen 5 i7s with over 32gb of ram.

I saw an improvement when I added those processes but still bounces as low as 9 FPS and 20 FPS and bounces around. It's not ideal, but it's usable.

I also have a fairly high end system: top of the line 3rd generation Intel i7 (top of the line, that generation) with 16 GB of RAM and a 7970M GPU overclocked to 1050/1450, stable, with adequate cooling.

I monitor temps and clocks, and when I turn on Enyo or Lazyraider, the clocks drop to 150/350. Surely there is some utilization issues going on.

Fps and hb lag is generally never related to gpu , its all got to do with the CPU and how quickly hb can get access to the CPU..

Try running windows in selective start up, and only run the services required to run hb and wow, and see how you go with that..

Also try tuning you framelock up to 30 or higher, sounds odd I know, but it onetime pushes the hb priority up..

If you have a spare hdd try a few different operating systems.. windows 7 windows 8 and windows 10.

Personally I find I get the best results running windows 10 RTM (not publicly available yet)

I'll try those. Also, I don't remember if my Intel 3720QM is overclocked or not. It's one of those partially locked CPUs, so I should be able to Intel XTU it if I haven't already in the past.

Selective startup, will give it a go. I run frame lock at 30, but I read there is very little difference going beyond 30, is that accurate? Running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, I struggled to get drivers that last time I ran Windows 10.
