For people thinking about creating alts(PSA)

Spear of Rethu (One handed Polearm) is an ilvl 700 Bound on Account with no level requirement to wear. Obtained by an archeology quest. I assume blizzard is going to change this as it makes heirloom weapons for certain classes redundant

Enjoy it while it lasts.

The DPS scales. The stats don't, so you have a ilvl 700 stat based weapon from level 1. You're sitting above 100% crit chance up until level 20 or so.

The thing is though, bot keeps trying to replace it with shitty weapons, and I don't know how to stop it doing this.

turn off auto-equip items in the general settings

Stays ilvl 700 with the same 447.78 dps and 1128-2097 damage

Also note that it is a one handed item, so a hunter can DW with a heirloom dagger for example

Then it would stop equipping other gear. I've figured out why, because the item is a 1 hander, it keeps trying to sub in a 2 hander as it 'is more compatible with our weapon style (TwoHander)' even the weapon functions as a TwoHander as far as skill use is concerned.

I think I've fixed it by going into the CharacterSettings.xml and changing AutoEquipWeapons to False (have to close out of HB and reload for this to take effect though).

Hotfixed. It's a 2h polearm heirloom now.
