[FISHING] Ultimate Fishing Profiles - Leveling, Farming, Grinding

Running the Fishing profile which selects the bait and I am am getting this.... that fishing profile is NOT working
properly. Please fix it.

Why are we having to rely on a 3rd party plugin anyways for fishing and why is this not built right
into the bot!

And YES I have all the .cs files downloaded from the SVN too they are
installed at Plugins\OrderBotTags directory.

I checked the SVN I have all the latest version of these files as well.
And Yes I am using Orderbot as well and I am getting these errors!

https://github.com/MGramolini/ExBuddy/trunk/OrderBotTags/Fish is the correct URL to use when committing a folder to SVN. Yes, it is a 404 error when trying to view in a web browser, but works as intended when used with something like TortoiseSVN.

Also, I think you meant to say, "it is "/tree/master" not "/trunk".

Good luck with the Fish.cs error. Maybe someone else will try to help you with it because I don't care to spend any more energy on this particular attempt to troubleshoot.

Does it appear to be "locked" in the fishing animation? When you press Quit (or move), does it move to a new FishSpot and start over from 1?

Unfortunately I have no control over that specific error, but I can share some experience with you. That error comes from the bot itself, specifically when I call FishingManager.State.

When calling FishingManager.State the bot is throwing an error when trying to read the memory. This only seemed to happen to me if I started the bot on one character, and then switched characters and fished on another character. If you did this then I can say with 100% certainty now that it is caused by those actions.

Known solution is restarting the bot.

When it comes to fixing the problem..unfortunately I can't do that, only mastahg could. And I can't try/catch those errors because afaik they don't stop happening until you restart the bot and without those states, fishing wouldn't work anyway.

Edit: Oh hey look, inside your orderbot folder you dont have the required files. Figures.

Profile is working just fine. Fill out an ID-10-T form in the support section and I will see what I can do.

Just glancing at the error.txt tells me something is not in the right place. I would go back and look at my reply to you and follow those instructions. Start over and stop telling us you know what you are doing because you clearly do not. Otherwise the profile would be working for you AS IT IS EVERYONE ELSE. This is my last attempt at helping you since you cant seem to follow simple instructions. Figure it out yourself since you are so smart.

Also, I accidentally introduced a change that I decided was unnecessary and could be confusing. It won't mooch fish that aren't on the keepers list with action="Mooch" or "MoochKeepNq". So now I have changed it to also mooch all fish not on the list.

Yes I do.. I have all the needed files.. I was told to download all the Fishing tag files I have all the files
which I need and have downloaded exactly what I was told to download.

Once again another person that has no clue what they are talking about.

I can follow instructions and I have followed them this guy Sinisterjoint is just another
troll. *blocked*

I think you may have "shot yourself in the foot" so to speak in regards to getting help. You have told several people, one that writes a LOT of profiles for people to use, that they have no idea what they are talking about. If you would like help you may want to think about a different approach.

That being said, Sinister was wrong, he does have the files. But y2krazy was correct in being mad about TheGhosts approach to asking for help earlier on. As far as I can tell, if he restarted RB after his last error, he should be up and working.

Under his orderbottag zip folder there was no fish folder /shrug

Thanks, I'll try it and see if it happens again.

Would it be possible to add an option for Cordial usage? Only while Patience isnt active, obviously.

Yea, that is possible, I just was trying to figure out the proper logic to use so that it is the least invasive to fishing... like not during a mooch and not during patience, and maybe default to maxgp-300. or less gp.

Can u guys cgheck my problem i posted and help me pls?

You are using a version of the fish tag that is not 100% fully working anymore, you can choose between the simple fix that Sycho has provided, or my more fully featured new version of the fish tag, that has backwards compatibility with old profiles. Skim through the thread for the instructions on how to set them up.

It was working fine the first day and it's been downhill ever since.

Despite the fact that you guys have done a ton of work, I'm of the same mind as TheGhost - there shouldn't have too be so much troubleshooting with so many different community members. It's not like I paid part of the payment, so I want a complete product. Maybe I'm just a little annoyed at how much time I've spent trying to configure this. His attitude towards this situation was rude and uncalled for, but I understand where his feelings are coming from.

Anyways...so here's my attempt:
-In the Reborn > Plugins > OrderBotTags > Fish
-I right click from here and go down to SVN Checkout at which I tried to input this:
-I get this error: http://imgur.com/6WUP2Um

-I saved off a copy of the 1-50 fishing w/ bait switching XML and I get this:

Create a folder in your plugins folder named OrderBotTags.
Right click on it, click SVN Checkout
For the URL of the repository, use https://github.com/MGramolini/ExBuddy/trunk/OrderBotTags
At this stage, it should look like this:
http://imgur.com/E4J3ck5
Click ok, start bot, and run one of the example profiles.

I would like to reiterate that the people contributing to this thread are community members, who are helping for free. Yes you paid for the bot, but all that purchase entitles you to is the base bot with no plugins, profiles, or routines (technically Kupo, but we don't really count that). The situation here isn't like buying software that doesn't work and having to deal with outsourced customer support.
Polite confusion will probably get you answers. Hostile arrogance probably won't.

I am trying my best to help everyone, but the more information you give the easier it is to help... I have spent over 60 hours on this Fish tag at this point and I am trying to share it as I feel it is at a very good point. I might start a new thread specifically for the new version of the tag.

The nicer you are in your post, the more likely you will get a reply from me in a timely manner, although I will probably try to help everyone regardless.
