So I'm getting a new PC in a few days, and I think it should be able to run 8-12 copies of D3. When you download the bot, is there a read-me file with details for where you put the files in the D3 folder and where to put plugins/profiles? So far I haven't found a startup-from-beginning thread anywhere. I've just caught glimpses of where people put files in other threads. Chances are there is something like this out there, so if someone could shoot me a link it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Royce

The guide section would be kinda a no-brainer imho.

Edit: that guide ws awfully brief tho.
:)

Short version:
Profiles - this tells ur bot where to go, what quest etc. You can have them anywhere on ur computer. I recomend having one central folder for all profiles.
Plugins: small (or big) addons to ur bot that makes it smarter. Some plugins replaces the profiles and routines. Needs t be ut in the plugin folder of each bot.
Routines: Combat routines for ur bot. Basicly its what tell him to do X when Z happends etc. Placed in the routine folder on every bot.
Rules: tells ur bot what to pick up and what to stash etc. Can be put anywhere on the computer. I recomend having one central folder for all profiles

Recomended plugins:
http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/plugins/67705-plugin-giles-trinity.html - the best plugin, handles combat (replaces ur routine) and looting. However Giles seems to be awol so no idea if it will get updated.

Ahhh so the DB folder that you download has folders already made in it that you just drop the plugins/

Yes you also need to fill it with routines which include GilesCombatReplacer and scripts. Be careful starting up that many bots without VMWare or at least unique client IDs.

what do you mean by unique client ID's?
