Finding Private Buyers

Can't seem to find anything on these forums regarding finding private buyers.

Well i am getting a bit fed up of selling at $2/k so i was looking to find private buyers but not sure were to start.

I thought of making a trial a/c and speaking in cities offering my gold however i didn't realise that you can't speak on trial a/c's
so I upgraded that trial a/c using some gold and purchased of gold4key a vanilla activation card, went to SW and put a well mannered tell into general SW chat first message I got back was "congrats on your first GM report". So I thought shit and gave up there and then.

What I am really looking for is people to share there experiences of finding private buyers how they did it, how much they sell for, safety aspect, so on and so on.

I no some of my attempts may be a bit wrong so please don't flame me for this.

I can understand your frustration with various gold buying sites. OffGamers, one of the largest recently offered me one dollar per 1000 gold. Needless to say I declined the offer

Yah I tried on a vannila account, but after almost getting scammed twice, and then getting Chat Locked by a Gm 2 hours later, I kinda gave up on Private Buyers. =(

I always change my macro, makes it look more legit so people realize there's an actual english speaker on the other end.

"WTS gold cheap, faster delivery and more secure than the Chinese."

Play off people's distrust of the chinese. As heartless as it sounds, I've made over 200 bucks selling to private buyers this way within the last week selling a fourth of the gold I would have needed to with the Chinese to make the same amount of cash.

You do the math, private buyers are definately the way to go.

I also only stay and spam the macro maybe two or three times before logging out, if people are interested they will contact you sooner rather than later. Spamming them over and over isn't going to do anything but piss them off and make them report you.

Use your brain and you will make a lot of money. That's all there really is to it.

Do you point then in the direction of a website? or msn? or just have contact via ingame mail?

Yea there really is no money to be made with the chinks. take you maybe 2 weeks to get 100k gold and they wanna offer you a crummy 2$ per k while they sell it for like 8 dollars per k.

Out of all of us We would be able to have plenty of gold on all servers. When someone purchases gold Give the order to someone on the server they purchased it on. then do 50/50 deal. So if they purchased say 5k gold for 25$ web page would make 12 and seller would make 12.

Yea i tryed to make a webpage for my store to sell stuff online. But i failed horribly. Well not that i failed just didnt wanna do all that annoying stuff I love computers but not webdesign lol

You have a whole advertising scheme you came up with too to actually get people to go there? Webspace/Google SEO/etc?

You actually have to think before you start up something like this, not just wave your magic wand and hope a highly productive community springs up out of no where.
