1)Are deticated ip's and Proxiess the same thing? What should i be googling so I get a ip for each bot?

2)If I'm building botting rig for poe, do i need a gpu if I'm using virtual machines? I would rather put the gpu money into a more powerful i7. I was told by dontbeafraid that i still needed one, but I really want the strongest i7 out there for a build and would gladly sacrifice a gpu

the only vm sort of software that uses gpu's is xenserver, the only reason I know this is because my friend swears by xen server and is botting another game using a server box he built and installed xenserver.

Xenserver is based on linux so you have to know a bit about that, but i think once you have got it set up it has interfaces etc to install operating systems like windows/linux distros. I'm sure there are plenty of guides in how to set it up and I think its more reliable than vmware. I don't really know much about it but that's the way I would go if I built a server box.

Heres a link to xenserver's home page if you want to take a look.

Vmware does not use the gpu directly with pass through like xenserver. that's why when you look at your graphics adapter in games etc in vmware its says vm adapter. In xenserver it actually says the model of your gpu because it actually uses. Like I said I don't know much about it but I know and I trust my friend who works in this field of the industry more than some guy that makes a post on the internet.

Who is this directed towards?

Why would you need to use wine? No one ever mentioned wine. As far as I understand once xenserver is setup you can install windows or whatever OS just like Vmware and have many instances like vmware which you can clone.
Overhead.

So you run Linux Vm's? and emulating with wine. I know wine is a lot better these days but there must still be a performance hit or maybe not. I also read somewhere that anti ***** does not kick in if your running wine, I don't know how true this but I guess it makes sense.
