So as some of you may know already I am definitely new to the Path of exile botting scene.

I used the quest plugin for about 48 hours straight and got pretty geared (with a bit of help on gems and couple easier uniques from my main) and got to very end of a3 merciless (including dominus kill)

I then ran docks for about 5-6 hours just to collect some currency, get some levels and start my 66 map pool.

Then I got the ban hammer.

So I want to make sure that does not happen this next time around. Why did I get banned and how do I avoid it?

Yes obviously I understand nothing is 100% foolproof, would just like to avoid the obvious.

The bot is set up on the same IP as my main but on a different computer (diff internal IP, same external)

I have seen people say they bot 24/7 or near 24/7 and don't have any issues. I have seen some people say they bot for 2 hours and get banned.

So why do you think I got banned? Was it the 5-6 straight hours of running docks, was it the botting 24/7? Was it that I had no masters, no hideout, and more deaths that I even want to admit to? Should I manual play a character until geared and able to map on its own?

Just curious as to how many of you bot 24/7 and if you have gotten any accounts banned before.

Docks is like the ledge, way too monitored :) farm library, atleast you're not going to stuck on a random upstair chest. 24/7 isn't the issue, maybe the IP... already flagged... Idk, randomness as its best

Glad 24/7 is not the issue. Nothing more frustrating than only being able to bot for a small amount of time a day :/

Docks could definitely be the issue I heard that and the ledge are super monitored. I wonder how that is though since people in game farm docks endlessly a lot especially before they are like level 70 and start mapping.

I highly doubt that I would be flagged as that is the ONLY path of exile bot I have run, so I would have done nothing previous to have gotten flagged.

I would like to not manually level as id rather play my main and hopefully one day get SOMETHING to drop that's worth more than 2 chaos. I want to try stone chucker build so bad but costs like 400-500 exalts... lol since I have about 3 that is going to be a huge issue :)

Anyway I really liked dark's quest plugin so I think im going to try that again 24/7 and just not farm docks and see how it goes.

a while ago I forgot my bot was running and he ran for 36 hours, in library, not a single fuck was given, I didn't even issued a currency flag :o this is ridiculous. care about stucks, and such aswell

I have a number of my toons banned recently. If there was a pattern, it was that I was botting in ledge and docks at some point to get the level up between 50 and 65. leveling some new toons now and looking to trying something different.

So didn't you say 24/7 wasn't the problem and then you said you forgot your bot was running and it ran 36 hours like you normally don't do 24/7? Just curious lol.

As for stucks, I have the anti stuck and auto desynch but not much you can do about stucks until you check bot and see it :)

This is the plan for me as well, I don't plan on farming docks/ledge at all and ill do everything else the same and see how it goes. If I don't get the ban than obviously docks was the issue.

Level by hand to Atleast 35
don't bot in areas known for botting
I never personally run one account or ip 24/7
I never run in the same area for more than 2-3 hours.
I always have masters.
never trade between bots, one has a shop on forums and poe trade. The others join parties sometimes, trade with other players. Etc etc.

Do you see where I'm going with this ? The more human you look. The less likely you are to get banned. You will still hit a ban even with this all said.

To be honest most of your stuff seems like tin foil hat syndrome.

Leveling by hand should not matter in the slightest ever. As long as nothing major happens like getting stuck for 12 days running into a wall or something.

running in same area (especially maps) should be no issue either. Maybe if your farming in merciless area docks or something sure.

Masters I cannot see being an issue. Again tons of ppl on forums said they don't use masters at all and they seem to be running just fine.

As for trade between bots that is the worst tinfoil hat. People trade, as I pointed out in another post here, tons of people live together, siblings, kids, family, dorm buddies, group of friends, internet cafes, schools, college etc etc the list goes on. For this reason I can not possibly believe that multiple instance on the same IP are an issue and neither can I see that trading to a "main" account or anything else. Especially with something like d2jsp. There is no way they are tracking trades on accounts even if they could and there is no way they are going to ban someone that trades to the account.

What if someone is terrible at price checking or selling items? What if they have limited time? They have a sibling/friend playing the game and they trade him all the items to sell for them or w/e. Because there are so many legit reasons why people would do this besides for botting I cannot see them ever banning for this.

Now im sure the way you do things deff won't hurt anything but I do not think a lot of it is necessary, thank you for posting your info though.

I mean I got banned after 2 days so wtf do I know lol

What do I know really. Well I know since I started acting more human I'm 5/6 for over 3 months now so must be doing something right. Anyways Goodluck

I just recently got banned 6/6 and in my case it WAS trading between accounts, once they connected all my accounts, they all got banned in same time.
ITs not a tinfoil for sure and what nixon is saying is right, if they catch one of your accounts they try to connect other accounts aswell, if pattern is given - all accounts are banned. simple as that
Of course trading between accounts means many things.
