Since you have a mesh in place for normal HB to use, it seems to me GB2 should be able to pick a random waypoint and use the Go To command that HB uses, thus getting the exact details of the "route" from the mesh and avoiding running into objects. It might be less efficient, but it also seems much less likely to be detected.
