Farming on two different toons same server same profiles

Any theories or experience? I have made two gatherers that i'd like to rotate duties between. Any idea how effective this would be? Or is it more likely that Blizz looks at account time spent farming, not character time.

do you mean two toons, on the same account, same server, same profile?

i use the same farming profile for herbing to feed my scribe. even have them named by ink type in my folder. i use the same profile across all my accounts just for convenience. however, i dont run more than 2 hours per char twice a week.

Yea same class, spec, account, server, profile, etc. Just wondering how much of a difference it would make to run the same toon for 4 hours or two diff toons for 2 hours each.

of course no one here really knows 100%, but...

2 things id watch, first, lcp. if its even a thing anymore, or ever was. pathing detection. the longer you farm, the better chance pathing detection software can catch up to you. /tinfoil hat
second, player reports, if you run 4 hours on one toon, there is a better chance of you running into the same people over and over. some asshat sees you fly over them for the third time, they might think about reporting you, just to goof with you.

running the same profile on 2 toons for half the time each seems like a better idea than running for the whole time on one char.
