Farming old content - bot not targeting/agroing most mobs.

Hi Guys,

I usually bot only current level type stuff and have not until now had reason to farm much lower level stuff, but I am finding it very frustrating.

I have tried many dungeons/factions, but will use one as an example. Kirin Tor faction in WotLK. I have tried all of the dungeons where the tabard will work, all to no avail. I have tried DungeonBuddy, Questing with private and public profiles, with and without combat puller plugins, after fresh install, etc etc, and without exception the bot either does not work at all or does not pull the majority of the mobs - just runs right by them.

The closest I have gotten so far is with Uthgard Pinnacle. DungeonBuddy with that one will run it from start to the last boss.. but when it gets to the last boss it just stands there, not attacking, doing nothing. If I manually target the boss the bot will kill it, then run about 4 steps and stop and do nothing until a timeout logs wow out. I did see the bot complete the dungeon ONE time out of about 15, when the bags had reached their full threshold - it then ran out and emptied the bags and started the next run, but then as soon as it got to the boss, same deal.. stopped, no attack, nothing.

Private profiles in quest mode will run the dungeon, but generally only kill the bosses, which is worthless for faction grinding.

I have played with all relevant settings (pull level, distance, factions, etc) all to no avail. I think ive spent 5 hours today just tinkering with crap.. and have come to the conclusion that there must be something wrong. I am hoping someone thats currently doing it can lend an opinion?

Its time to crash here so ill check for replies / questions when I wake up....

And before anyone asks for a log... let me know which type of bot you want me to log with and ill do a run. Would be pointless right now since ive tried so many options that posting logs for all of them would just muddy the situation. And besides, after looking at the logs it does not appear to have much that could be of help.

I have tried "Combat Puller" plugin only - there are 2 of them in the combat section, but one of them was not downloadable - kept getting a 0kb zip (after waiting a good 4-5 minutes for the download to even start - no idea why - just in that one thread).

Look up the Azyul profile collection here on the forums. They are profiles made specifically to farm low level dungeons. Everything you need to know on how to set it up is in the thread!

If you have the same problems, I would advice you to make a thread in the Support section and include a log.

Ya I've tried his profiles. Those are the ones I was referring to as the "questing" bot.

They run right by the mobs but not close enough to agro them, and being such a high lvl in order to agro I need to run thru a mob. or sometimes even stop on him for a second. Also as I said i dont think a log will help since this is a basic mechanics thing and not something "wrong" exactly. So the log shows nothing out of the ordinary. Might have to do a video.

I posted here hoping someone out there who was level 100 and had tried getting this to work had some advice... is not ill just give it up and remember to grind my factions as I level. I forgot with this toon :/

I had to rewrite coordinates for profiles I'm using. No other way, unfortunately.

Ya, ive now done the same, and that works for me.

Until now I used only my own private profiles... but I just don't have the time to generate them myself anymore. In the last year my business has kicked off like crazy and if I don't keep up 12+ hour days 6-7 days a week it gets ahead of me. lol. The price of success I guess.
