I would like to help lessen the number of support threads that have already been answered many times by consolidating all that knowledge.

Feel free to post suggestions for this list.

FAQ

  • I can't download and/or update the bot
    Disable antivirus software temporarily as the bot can cause false positives in them, preventing download of certain files.
  • I'm having trouble getting the bot to start and it's my first time using it on this computer
    Refer to this thread: [Install] Additional Requirements (New)
  • The bot crashes when I start it
    Is the current build of PoE supported by the version of the bot you are running (see list below)? The bot does not work immediately after each PoE patch.
  • The bot says it does not support the current build
    Wait for the bot to be updated or see if the beta version supports the current build and, if so, use that.
  • Where can I download the beta version?

  • I was using the bot and no currency items have dropped in a long time.
    This typically means that your account has been flagged by GGG as a bot account and no more currency will drop unless you contact them and convince them to reverse it. An account that has been flagged like this is sometimes referred to as an NCDA (no currency drop account).
  • Bot does not use skills
    Remove any un-castable skills from your hotbar. This means any skill linked to a "cast on" support gem that cannot be cast directly.
  • When starting bot, I get error about "Max sessions".
    Go to Home Page - Buddy Auth Portal and, log in, click the sessions link, kill your active session, then restart exilebuddy.
  • The bot is picking up trash items
    Enable key pickup in the game options. Note: it may still happen occasionally even with key pickup turned on, but it will happen much less often.

Known Issues (has not been updated for Forsaken Masters beta yet)

  • Bot always does full clears of zones, even when that means doubling back on your path
  • Bot will sometimes become conflicted about what action to take, ending up stuck in an infinite pathing loop (haven't noticed this recently - may be fixed)
  • Bot sometimes can't decide what to target (causing it to attack nothing), especially noticeable when running the Ranger CR.
  • Bot will ignore all mobs to get to a zone exit or corrupted zone entrance (if enabled) once it sees the entrance/exit.

well 90% of the time i bot my char gets stuck in the midle of 2 wisdom scrolls running back and forth......

yep. that falls under the last known issue about conflicts. they've said they're working on fixing that.
 
If the bot begins casting portal from a portal gem, and then a mob interrupts the cast, the bot will continue trying to cast over and over, instead of killing the mob and recasting. This has been a problem since the bot was released.

I wasn't even aware you could portal from a gem with the bot. How do you set that up? Do I just have to have it on my hotbar? I have mine on my weapon swap set so that wouldn't work I guess for me.
 
Does this 0.1.1407.20 - PoE 1.0.4 version have anti-flagging? I really want to restart but reallly do not want to be flagged again.
I also do not want to make my own town runs ;)

I imagine they'll announce it once they have that. I haven't heard of anything yet.
 
added current beta version to the list of PoE versions supported.
added notes about which issues are release-only or beta-only (some I'm not sure about).
 
Side-note; if you wanted this stickied, you should PM a staff member about it!

This is sticky material, but this isn't the forum for it!
