extra speed to computer

Hi guys I was wondering besides extra ram, are there other alternatives to increasing computer speed, I read something about "readyboost", any other perks?

Its pretty important to remember that none of these programs actually speed up for PC, they just help you sort out the mess you, yourself already caused. By installing/running tons of useless programs, and not uninstalling correctly.

Best way, will ALWAYS be to format your harddrive, put on new windows. And stop installing crap.

I'm pretty familiar with using Windows on a day-to-day basis. This program gives my computer the extra edge it needs for me to be as fluently as possible. I don't have any junk or malware running on my computer. I have stripped down my W7 installation by a lot and I'm only running Hare, Digsby (chat and IM), Clamwin (Antivirus), Honorbuddy and World of Warcraft. And Chrome ofcourse, which is a complete memory hog but it's at least a lot more responsive than Firefox for me.

Readyboost is mostly crap... there is little to no chance you'll see any gains with it.

You're also asking a vague non-question. What do you want to be "faster"? Frame rate, game load times, boot time? In most cases it's one or a combination (possibly all) of the following:

1. More/Faster CPU
2. More/Faster RAM
3. More/Faster HDD
4. More/Faster GPU

Thankfully WoW scales well and with options turned down can almost run on a TI-85 graphing calculator.

WoW runs on an older engine, so upgrading your CPU will result in the highest FPS increase. If you buy a new CPU you will need to buy new ram(assuming you're using some core2 or older CPU)
