Excuses for not raiding?

i am a volunteer fire fighter. One day i was raiding and my beeper alarm went off so i just said to the raid in team speak "jo shit's on fire gtg" an went offline. once i came back i explained every thing. since then i just toll them im playing on my laptop from the firestation w-lan and it lags a bit. but since im good at writing macros and play myself from time to time, i never had big issues with suspicius dps /hps loss. Mop was great i had a guild where the people new that a freind and i were botting and didn't give a shit, since we sold them plenty of gold and keept the guild bank well stocked. good times.
 
i read the changelog for the patch and notice most of it was graphics update. i just told my RL ive been having fps issues. i still raided and turns out im pretty fucking awesome at healing. however i will always use the bot when i can so i can fap mid boss fights
 
I do about 4k less dps and 2k less dps as tank I just tell them im sick or had a long day at work so I may not be my best.
 
funny yesterday watched kúngen stream, he was a bit upset with his guildies were underperforming and wiping so much... would be interesting to know how many "pros" are using hb too.
 
Learn to play your class and take honorbuddy for moments you want to relax. Tbh, it might be difficult for some healer classes, but surely you will do even better while running honorbuddy if you know your class and give it some manual input.

ye lol befor they did mad dps and then it was slow dps they fail at karoth mythic
 
I join and try to the best of my ability, it's a bit more forgiving for healers. What actually suffers the most when I'm botless is my situational awareness. I stand in a lot more crap than I otherwise never would :(
 
I got a programmable keyboard that has dps rotations in for the classes I can play by hand, I may not be top dps but I do more than enough.
 
Just watch left and right for short term alternatives and you dont have to play by hand.

TBH I really don´t like bot related stuff appearing in my wow folder. (The macros) Even if its safe atm I don´t want this to show up.
 
Being both GM and RL makes it pretty easy.. "Boss won't come tonight. End.".. but.. I'm also the maintank so can't miss several raids. That's why I setup our raids on Thursday and onwards, there's usually a beta then - if not - I'll just setup a raid on friday. Been working out great so far :)
 
Some random technical shit middle of the first pull, then I sit myself out cause I don't want to be a liability tonight.
 
I tend to agree with others here. I am raiding just fine and actually beating my 'botted' meters. I bot because I'm lazy not because I can't play or it's too difficult.
 
Raided tonight and actually did well, then again combat rogue is literally 2 buttons and 2 CDs. Playing sub I was doing what I normally do with my routine but theres so many dam things to keep track of. Thats where HB kicks in!
 
lol, what game are you playing? shadow priest is the only dps spec in the game that might give people trouble because of the variety of rotations that change from moment to moment. unless you are handicapped in some way, which is unfortunate obviously but I'm sure HB will be fixed up quickly.
 
the officers in my guild know i bot i just said i don't give a fuck to play without the bot because the only reason i play is the social experience.
 
I have used excuses like "omg my brother just broke his arm" and "omg my cat just got run over gtg" Just cant use em twice lol
